On 17 Sep 06 Becky Holland, age 49, 271 Hollywood
Drive, Little Hocking, reported a female she engaged in a verbal
confrontation with on Eyermann Road in Belpre struck her vehicle
with a broomstick and grabbed her forcefully by the wrist.
This case remains under investigation (586).
On 17 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
William R. Lynn, age 47, 4643 Millers Lane, Marietta, for his
sixth OVI, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to
reinstate his operator’s license and for having fictitious
plates. Stopped for having plates registered to a Honda on
a Nissan truck, Mr. Lynn had bloodshot eyes, slurred his speech
and had an open can of Busch Light on the seat next to him.
Once he performed poorly on field sobriety tests Mr. Lynn was
transported to the Washington County Jail where he refused
a BAC test.
On 17 Sep 06 David P. Henthorn, age 64, 145
Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, reported his forty year old
daughter was at his home, cursing at his wife and refusing
to leave. During the skirmish Mr. Henthorn said his daughter
scratched his arm when he stepped between the two arguing factions.
Mr. Henthorn and his wife refused to give a written statement
and declined to pursue charges (1299).
On 17 Sep 06 Gregory V. Dennison, age 48,
2180 Millers Lane, Marietta, reported a neighbor with an adjoining
property line trimmed vines and mowed a strip of grass on his
property, both of which are violations of a civil protection
order he has against the neighbor. This case remains under
investigation (1299).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gene Earl Buffington, age 62, 3515 Broad Street, Parkersburg,
for .08 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel, both misdemeanors. Buffington was arrested on State
Route 7 at Joe Skinner Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 06
at 1:30 am.
William Andrew Boyd, age 39, 802 ½ Front Street, Marietta,
for possessing an open container of alcohol, for having illegal
window tint and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Boyd was arrested near milepost
eight on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 06 at 4:35
pm.
Matthew Scott West, age 34, Larkmeade Lot 4, Parkersburg,
for possessing an open container of alcohol, for obstructing
official business and for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. West was arrested
near milepost eight on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Sep 06 at 4:35 pm.
William Richard Lynn, age 47, 4643 Millers Lane, Marietta,
for a felony charge of OVI and for misdemeanor charges of consuming
alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to reinstate his operator’s
license and having fictitious plates. Lynn was arrested on
Zion Ridge Road near Millers Lane by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 06
at 8:00 pm.
