On 15 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans requested
a summons for William L. Shawver, age 40, 601 Barclay Avenue
Lot 6, Belpre, for possession of marijuana. Noticing Mr. Shawver’s
suspicious behavior during a traffic stop, Deputy Evans had
a canine officer conduct an exterior search of the vehicle.
Deputy Evans then discovered two baggies of marijuana totaling
eight grams in Mr. Shawver’s pockets.
On 15 Sep 06 Lt. Wilson arrested Nicole D.
Reyes, age 34, 112 ½ Lee Street Apt. B, Belpre, for
.08 breath OVI. Observing Ms. Reyes’s vehicle travel
across the double yellow line for over a hundred feet, Lt.
Wilson stopped the vehicle on Main Street in Belpre. Though
she admitted only drinking one glass of wine Ms. Reyes performed
poorly on field sobriety tests and tested .096% BAC.
On 15 Sep 06 Lt. Huffer and Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes responded to a disturbance reported by Debra Coy, age
36, 2087 Barth Road, Marietta. Ms. Coy stated Donald L. Lott,
age 44, 200 Greenhill Road, Marietta, arrived at her residence
intoxicated and began swearing and exhibited behavior inappropriate
for children. Continuing his belligerence, Mr. Lott refused
to answer questions for the Deputies and ignored orders to
desist when being handcuffed. In consequence, Mr. Lott was
arrested for obstructing official business, resisting arrest
and for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 15 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris requested
a summons for Alisha D. Small, age 25, 70 Main Street, Waterford,
for theft. Deputy Morris’ summons alleges Ms. Small stole
nail polish from White Oak Pharmacy on 11 Sep 06.
On 15 Sep 06 the treasurer of the Newport
Volunteer Fire Department, 3850 State Route 7, Newport, reported
on 7 Aug 06 the organization received from the same individual,
five bad checks totaling $514 for the purchase of Bingo tickets
and pull tabs. This case remains under investigation (8411).

John M. Heiss, age 39, 314 Fifth Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by fighting on 17 Jun 06.
Jesse M. Knight IV, age 25, 1496 East 107th Street, Cleveland,
for possession of marijuana on 17 Aug 06.
Robert L. McCune, age 52, 1315 ½ Broadway Avenue, Parkersburg,
for making false statements to police on 29 Jul 06.
Derek D. Oldfield, age 20, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 50, Marietta,
for attempting to convey five grams of cocaine into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Jul 06.
David Wriston, age 22, 687 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for
driving under a suspended license and for having fictitious
plates on 31 Aug 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patrick Roy Jacobsen, age 26, 1194 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming,
for forgery, a felony. Jacobsen was arrested at the Sheriff’s
Office’s Fourth Street office by Detective Parks and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 06 at 12:42
am.
Daniel Dale Carsner, age 47, 29060 Federal Road, Little Hocking,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Carsner was arrested on Braun Road in Belpre
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 15 Sep 06 at 4:41 am.
James Chadwick Hodgson, age 28, 710 Washington
Boulevard, Belpre, for contempt of a court order, a felony.
Hodgson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 06
at 11:15 am.
Paul Edward Lake, age 42, 35610 Township 14, Beverly, for
driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Lake was
arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 06 at 5:00 pm.
David Scott McKee, age 30, 287 ½ North Algonquin Avenue,
Columbus, for two counts of failure to appear and for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors.
McKee was picked up in Delaware County by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 06
at 5:00 pm.
Donald Lloyd Lott, age 44, 200 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for
obstructing official business, resisting arrest and for disorderly
conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Lott was arrested
on Barth Road by Lt. Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15
Sep 06 at 5:47 pm.
Sanford Wilbert Smith, age 26, Route 2 Box 255B, New Martinsville,
for driving under a suspended license and for operating an
unsafe vehicle, both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on Greene
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 06 at 10:30 pm.
