On 13 Sep 06 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to a seventeen year old Cutler resident for driving without a license and for having fictitious registration. Lt. Huffer stopped the juvenile on State Route 339 at Sweetapple Road in Barlow Township.

On 13 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a citation to Wanda J. Baker, age 41, 140 Sylvan Way, Marietta, for traveling 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Morris stopped Ms. Baker near milepost thirty-six on State Route 7 in Newport Township.

On 13 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes investigated the theft of ATV’s from the yards of two residences in Newport. From Byron D. Binegar, age 33, 8300 County Nine Road, Newport, a red Honda TRX450 was stolen and from Russell W. Morris, age 62, 1995 Reynolds Run Road, Newport, a red Honda TRX250.

On 13 Sep 06 Clark C. Whitacre, age 26, 401 Second Street, Beverly, reported during the evening an unknown suspect(s) scratched both sides of his 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 13 Sep 06 Donivan W. Heiss, age 39, 1770 Michaelis Road, Marietta, reported his daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Chad W. Warner, age 21, 260 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, was on his property and refused to leave. Deputies Hall and Spencer reasserted Mr. Heiss’ order to Mr. Warner, who promptly scampered away on foot. While the Deputies searched for Mr. Warner, Mr. Heiss said the suspect entered his house and that he chased him out the door. Found hiding under a utility trailer, Mr. Warner had in his possession twenty-one valium pills he admitted stealing from his father. As a result, Mr. Warner was arrested for burglary and theft of drugs and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 13 Sep 06 the owner of Heslop’s Grocery, 90 Railroad Street, Whipple, reported over a three day span beginning on 13 Aug 06 the business received four bad checks from the same suspect totaling $643.26. This case remains under investigation (8411).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Marc Anthony Crockett, age 26, 145 Rake Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Crockett was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Sep 06 at 9:50 am.

Jeremy Deane Cutshaw, age 34, 1220 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Cutshaw was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Sep 06 at 11:20 am.

Melissa Jo Flesher, age 32, Columbus, for felony charges of breach of recognizance and failure to appear and misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt. Flesher was picked up at the Marion County Jail by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Sep 06 at 4:50 pm.
