On 7 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins encountered a parked vehicle with its lights on at Lane’s Farm Campground on State Route 26. Speaking to the driver, Henry C. Farley, age 45, 1001 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, Deputy Mankins noticed an odor of alcohol and an open can of beer on the truck’s floorboard. Upon further questioning Mr. Farley pointed to the vehicle’s keys on the floor and confessed he was consuming alcohol in the truck. As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Farley for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Sep 06 the principal of the Washington County Career Center reported receiving information that a student was in possession of and possibly dealing drugs. The principal contacted the student, who emptied his pockets and revealed a marijuana pipe and a small quantity of marijuana. This case remains under investigation (1184).

Isabelo Lopez, age 20, 601 Tupper Street Apt. 1, Marietta, for felonious assault. Lopez was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 2:25 am.

Brent Matthew Newlen, age 22, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 6, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Newlen was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 2:35 am.

Justin Daniel Deems, age 26, 18155 State Route 550, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Deems was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 3:00 am.

Stanley Rupert Smith Jr., age 44, 34455 State Route 7, Newport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 11:55 am.

Abraham Roger Ullman, age 62, 3128 State Route 550, Bartlett, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ullman turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Sgt. Gherke and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 1:50 pm.

Henry Clay, age 45, 1001 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Clay was arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 06 at 8:30 pm.
