On 6 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Phillip Smith, age 42, State Route 555, Cutler,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for having fictitious
registration. Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Smith on State Route
555 near Patten Mills Road in Wesley Township.
On 6 Sep 06 Lt. Seevers investigated a trespassing
complaint that resulted in an injury on the property of George
Broughton, age 49, at 639 State Route 821, Marietta. Mr. Broughton
made contact with the riders of two ATV’s and ordered
them off his property, only to learn later the same individuals,
one of whom became injured, were observed riding past a no
trespassing sign. Injured in the accident was Jason Rowe, 127
Ohio Boulevard, Marietta, OH. Rowe was life flighted from the
scene by a medical helicopter.
On 6 Sep 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to
Jeremy J. Moore, age 27, Route 1, Coolville, for following
another vehicle too closely. Lt. Wilson stopped Mr. Moore on
US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre.
On 6 Sep 06 April R. Bettinger, age 31, 2348
Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, reported being assaulted by her sister
in law Sue A. Cunningham, age 46, at her sister in law’s
residence at 10770 State Route 550, Barlow. Discussing the
living arrangements of her children with Ms. Cunningham, Ms.
Bettinger stated an argument ensued and Ms. Cunningham threatened
to harm or kill her. At that, Ms. Bettinger used an expletive
referring to a female dog and was attacked by Ms. Cunningham
in retaliation. During the melee Ms. Cunningham ripped Ms.
Bettinger’s shirt and struck her five times in the face.
When questioned by Lt. Huffer Ms. Cunningham admitted hitting
her sister in law because she “lost it.” Therefore
Lt. Huffer requested a summons for Ms. Cunningham for assault.
On 6 Sep 06 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to
Jesse A. Anderson, age 23, 138 Franklin Street, Marietta, for
driving under an FRA suspended license. Lt. Huffer stopped
Mr. Anderson at the intersection of Franklin and Maple Streets
in Marietta.
On 6 Sep 06 a teacher at Frontier High School,
44870 State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported a brown, twelve
foot livestock trailer was stolen from outside the school during
the last twenty-four hours. This case remains under investigation
(1020).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Juanita Dawn Lynn, age 29, Laurel Ridge Road,
Lowell, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear.
Lynn was arrested in Lowell by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 06 at
4:00 am.
Robert Alan Richards, age 31, 1009 Fifth Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Richards was arrested at Washington State Community College
by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 06 at
3:40 pm.
Leslie Eugene Holiday Jr., age 19, 5944 State Route 530, Lowell,
for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Holiday
was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Walters
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 06 at 4:25 pm.
Shun Wendell Franklin, age 37, 208 Wooster Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Franklin was
arrested on Harmar Street in Marietta by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6
Sep 06 at 10:57 pm.
