On 31 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Day responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 710 Bender Road, Marietta.
Like many of these calls, alcohol was involved. In this case
the inebriation was caused by Deborah M. Harris, age 46, consuming
copious amounts of alcohol distilled from a 51% corn mash mixture
and aged in charred oak barrels, which is commonly known as
American whiskey. Deputy Day determined Mrs. Harris threatened
her husband Larry Harris, age 64, while the two were in their
kitchen and moments later Mrs. Harris retrieved a handgun and
again threatened her husband. When questioned regarding her
actions, Mrs. Harris admitted threatening her husband with
the weapons. As a result, Deputy Day arrested Mrs. Harris for
domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County
Jail.
