On 29 Aug 06 Brenda K. Murphy, age 43, 51194
State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported that at 9 pm the previous
evening a friend of her estranged husband Randal Murphy, age
45, appeared on her doorstep to speak concerning reconciliation
his behalf. Deputy Sheriff Mankins determined the contact initiated
by Mr. Murphy violated a protection order his wife has against
him and therefore arrested him and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 29 Aug 06 James A. Ash, age 47, Pennock
Drive Lot 16, Beverly, reported sometime during the past month
a five gallon bucket containing a number of miscellaneous tools
was stolen from underneath his front porch. This case remains
under investigation (1184).
On 29 Aug 06 Stephanie D. Scarbrough, age
27, 840 Pike Street Apt. 41, Marietta, reported her blue denim
purse containing eighty dollars in cash and forty checks was
stolen from her apartment between 8 pm the previous evening
and 10 that morning. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 29 Aug 06 Jeffrey Joseph, age 24, 175 Robinson
Hill Road, Marietta, reported being assaulted by his live-in
girlfriend or seven weeks, Stacy Lightfritz, age 20. Arguing
over the fact that he believes his girlfriend has a sexually
transmitted disease, Mr. Joseph degraded Ms. Lightfritz using
several colorful words. Ms. Lightfritz naturally took offense
to this, slapping Mr. Joseph as well scratching him in the
stomach and pushing him in the chest. Once Sgt. Gherke observed
the numerous injuries on Mr. Joseph he arrested Ms. Lightfritz
for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington
County Jail.
On 29 Aug 06 Carlton D. Theobald, age 74,
850 Jett Hill Road, Reno, reported between 10 pm and midnight
the previous evening an unknown suspect(s) cut the padlocked
chain off a garage on his property and stole a Honda 125cc
ATV from inside. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 29 Aug 06 a Washington County employee
reported observing near Glendale and Stanleyville Road, several
bags of trash. Deputy Sheriff Rhodes located said trash bags
and discovered a small quantity of drug-related items as well
as identifying articles. This case remains under investigation
(200).

for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Murphy was arrested on State Route 7 by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 Aug 06 at 3:39 am.
David Allan Mankins, age 42, 317 Gilman Avenue, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Mankins
was arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 06 at 3:54 am.
Robert Charles Schlicher, age 27, 608 Front
Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Schlicher
turned himself in to Lt. Coppernoll and was processed into
the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 06 at 1:55 pm.
Anthony Todd County, age 20, 515 Goose Run Road, Marietta,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
County was arrested on Cornerville Road near Sandhill Road
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 Aug 06 at 2:25 pm.
Stacy Nicole Lightfritz, age 20, 175 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Lightfritz was arrested
at 703 Dawes Circle by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 29 Aug 06 at 5:26 pm.
