On 28 Aug 06 Clifford Winstanley, age 79, 215 Caywood Road, Marietta, reported while he and his wife visited a relative in West Virginia he believes a family member entered his bedroom and stole two prescription bottles of Vicodin and one bottle of Darvocet. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 28 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris requested a summons for Samantha S. Staley, age 23, 5440 State Route 339, Vincent, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Receiving treatment at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Ms. Staley was found in possession of a pipe she admitted she uses to smoke crack.

On 28 Aug 06 John Tansey, age 56, 2525 Sandcastle Court, Seabrook, TX, reported after he paid his rent through the end of the month and moved from 11573 State Route 339, Vincent at the beginning of July, his landlord allegedly removed three vehicles and a utility trailer from the property without his permission. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 28 Aug 06 Detective Schuck issued a citation to Dennis R. Marks, age 36, 100 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for traveling 73 mph in a 55 mph zone, for driving under a suspended license and for not using a turn signal. Detective Schuck stopped Mr. Marks on State Route 550 near Simpson Street in Marietta Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Lee Vangerpen, age 50, 820 Buffalo Street, Michigan City, IN, for OVI and driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Vangerpen was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 06 at 12:26 am.

Mark William Dunn, age 54, 65 Shady Lane, Marietta, for three counts of felonious assault and for a misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging. Dunn was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 06 at 4:08 am.

Wayne Landon Ruth, age 20, 1040 State Route 339, Belpre, for complicity and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Ruth was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 06 at 8:10 am.

Jacob Edward Mason, age 20, 50 Second Street, Vincent, for a felony charge of theft and misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Mason was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 06 at 8:31 am.

Lloyd Wayne Bevaque, age 21, 1421 Lancaster Street Apt. 101B, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Bevaque was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 06 at 2:47 pm.
