On 19 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Daniel P. Williams, age 18, 1091 State Route 339, Belpre, for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Williams on State Route 7 at Blue Knob Road in Warren Township.

On 19 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriffs Morris and Mankins responded to reports of a fight in the parking lot of Sierra Apartments. At the scene, witnesses informed the Deputies that following a brief confrontation Marty L. Bass, age 37, 282 Ridgewood Drive Apt. C, Marietta, grabbed Stephanie Scarbrough, age 27, 840 Pike Street Apt. 41, by the neck, pushed her aside and punched Kevin Hess, age 19, 840 Pike Street, in the face and knocked him unconscious. Seeing Mr. Hess lying on the ground, Christina Ward, age 29, 511 Ferguson Street, Marietta, attempted to assist but was threatened and literally chased away by Ms. Scarbrough and her roommate Ashley B. Wynn, age 26. Arrested and subsequently transported to the Washington County Jail were Mr. Bass for two counts of assault and Ms. Scarbrough and Ms. Wynn for menacing.

On 19 Aug 06, while returning property to her ex-boyfriend at his residence, Jennifer L. Woodford, age 25, 245 Epler Road, Lowell, reported her ex-boyfriend Jason Mace, age 23, 18001 State Route 676, Marietta, threw a temper tantrum, damaged her vehicle and assaulted her. Ms. Woodford state she was trying to leave Mr. Mace’s residence when he jumped on the hood of her Chevy Blazer and kicked the windshield. As she increased speed Mr. Mace fell off, regained his feet and proceeded to punch through the driver’s window and punched Ms. Woodford several times. Due to Mr. Mace’s actions, Deputy Sheriff Evans requested a summons for him for criminal damaging and assault.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jerran Keith Knowlton, age 26, 909 ½ Park Avenue, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Knowlton was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 12:21 am.

Marty Lewan Bass, age 37, 282 Ridgewood Drive Apt. C, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole and for two counts of assault, all misdemeanors. Bass was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 3:23 am.

Ashley Nicole Wynn, age 26, 840 Pike Street Apt. 40, Marietta, for menacing, a misdemeanor. Wynn was arrested at Sierra Apartments by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 3:37 am.

Molly Annis Hamilton, age 28, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, driving left of center and carrying a concealed weapon, all misdemeanors. Hamilton was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 7:50 am.

Stephanie Dawn Scarbrough, age 27, 840 Pike Street Apt. 41, Marietta, for menacing, a misdemeanor. Scarbrough was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 8:00 am.

Eric Ellis Luke, age 19, 405 Lord Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Luke was arrested on Franklin Street in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 9:04 am.

Julia Ann Brooker, age 32, 8703 State Route 60 NW, McConnelsville, for two felony counts of burglary. Brooker was picked up at the Morgan County line by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 10:13 am.

Jason Allen Wunderlich, age 27, 18155 State Route 339, Waterford, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Wunderlich was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 12:38 pm.

Brian Keith Griffin, age 35, 511 Spruce Street Apt. 1A, Caldwell, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating an unsafe vehicle, both misdemeanors. Griffin was arrested on State Route 821 by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 1:45 pm.

Aaron Matthew Hess, age 27, 270 Ridgewood Drive Apt. H, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Hess was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 06 at 10:35 pm.
