On 15 Aug 06 Aaron J. Lang, age 27, 110 Hamilton
Road, Marietta, reported during each of the past two evenings
property was stolen from his business at 800 State Route 821,
Marietta. Stolen items include a steel plate, three gasoline
containers and two pieces of steel flex pipe. This case remains
under investigation (1184).
On 15 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Spencer was dispatched
to the scene of a fracas involving Jason T. Mace, age 23, 18001
State Route 676, Marietta, and his seventeen year old brother.
Unprovoked though fueled by intoxication, Mr. Mace took offense
to a comment by his father and charged toward him in a rage.
Mr. Mace’s brother stepped between the two and was elbowed
in the head as he tried to restrain his older brother. Deputy
Spencer arrived shortly thereafter, subdued Mr. Mace and requested
a summons for him to appear in court for disorderly conduct
by fighting.
On 15 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris arrested
Autumn L. Joseph, age 28, 5 Julie Lane, Marietta, for OVI.
Traveling north on State Route 60, Deputy Morris observed Ms.
Joseph nearly drive off the road into the grass on two occasions.
Following her poor performance on sobriety tests, Ms. Joseph
was transported to the Washington County Jail where she refused
a BAC test.
On 15 Aug 06 Lt. Canavan was dispatched to
the scene of a domestic dispute at 1192 Patten Mills Road,
Bartlett. Patricia A. Smith, age 43, informed Lt. Canavan her
live-in boyfriend of twenty years, Tony T. Hill, age 41, threatened
to cause harm to her and their fifteen year old daughter and
to throw them both out the window. Indicating Mr. Hill consumed
a large quantity of alcohol, Ms. Smith also stated her boyfriend
angered as he attempted to persuade her to drop charges against
him for a previous domestic violence arrest. Lt. Canavan determined
the two victims were in fear for their safety and requested
two warrants for Mr. Hill for domestic violence. Mr. Hill was
arrested the following day and transported to the Washington
County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Mark A. McIntyre, age 24, 223 Broughton Avenue,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 31 Jul 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kelli Marie Allen, age 24, 607 National Pike,
Washington, PA, for OVI, driving under a suspended license
and for failing to obey a traffic control device, all misdemeanors.
Allen was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Aug 06 at 2:20 am.
Rita Marie McCroy, age 33, 122 Elmwood Avenue,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. McCroy was arrested in Marietta Municipal
Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 06
at 10:09 am.
Randal Gene Murphy, age 45, 51194 State Route 7, New Matamoras,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Murphy turned himself
in at the Sheriff’s Office to Sgt. Hiatt and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 06 at 6:55 pm.
