On 13 Aug 06 Sgt. Gherke issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Joshua E. Gibbs, age 24, 142 Sycamore Street, Belpre, for riding on the outside of a vehicle. Sgt. Gherke observed Mr. Gibbs standing on the bumper of a truck, gripping the tailgate on Washington Boulevard in Belpre.

On 13 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested Nathan Stalnaker, age 22, 1533 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for OVI and driving under a suspended license. Deputy Evans observed Mr. Stalnaker operating an ATV at a high rate of speed on State Route 821 and subsequently wreck near the Marietta Beagle Club. Mr. Stalnaker stated he could not complete sobriety tests because he was drunk and therefore transported to the Washington County Jail where he tested .151% BAC.

On 13 Aug 06 a forty-three year old Cutler resident reported her sixteen year old daughter sneaked out of the house without permission and reportedly attended a party the previous evening. Unable to locate her daughter that night, the mother stated the teenager returned home the next morning but desired to pursue charges as a result of this and other incidents. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Evans requested a summons for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly.

On 13 Aug 06 an employee of the Washington County Humane Society, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, reported between Saturday night and Sunday morning an unknown suspect(s) entered the building by breaking then glass on the front door and stole a safe that contained over $500 in cash, keys and documents. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 13 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans requested summons for Christian E. Sayre, age 25, 9585 State Route 339, Vincent, for possession of marijuana. Stopping Mr. Sayre for speeding on State Route 550, Deputy Evans discovered 3.28 grams of marijuana under the vehicle’s passenger seat.

On 13 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested Ramey L. Hart, age 29, 2701 State Route 183, BeverlyartH, for OVI and driving under an OVI suspended license. Stopped for having an inoperable license plate light, Mr. Hart had bloodshot eyes and slurred his speech when answering Deputy Evans’ questions. Mr. Hart performed poorly on sobriety tests and was transported to the Washington County Jail where he refused a BAC test.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nathan Corey Strickler, age 19, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, for offenses committed as a juvenile and obstructing official business. Strickler turned himself in to Patrolman Kampmeier at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 12:00 am.

Ronald Lee Cyrus Hornbeck, age 34, 1119 Buffalo Pike Road, Pleasant City, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, driving under an FRA suspended license and for having fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. Hornbeck was picked up at the Guernsey County Jail by Corrections Officer Bichard and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 2:14 am.

Nathan Carver Stalnaker, age 22, 1533 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for .08 breath OVI, driving under an OVI suspended license and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Stalnaker was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 2:41 am.

Shiloh A. Morgenstern, age 20, Oak Grove Road, Williamstown, for .08 breath OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Morgenstern was arrested on County Road 8 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 4:11 am.

Ramey Lee Hart, age 29, 2701 State Route 83, Beverly, for OVI and for driving under an OVI suspended license, both misdemeanors. Hart was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 4:41 am.

Shawn Gale Thomas, age 37, 121 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct. Thomas was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 9:25 am.

Todd Dante Mayle, age 18, 2560 Arcadia Avenue, Zanesville, for .02 underage breath OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Mayle was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 9:50 am.

Brent Allen Carpenter, age 30, 814 Quarry Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 06 at 11:35 pm.
