On 12 Aug 06 Linda Brown, age 62, 1070 Mount
Tom Road, reported while she was away from her home for several
hours that afternoon an unknown suspect(s) entered her home
and stole a muzzleloader pistol and all the jewelry from her
jewelry box. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 12 Aug 06 an employee of Heslop’s
Grocery, 90 Railroad Street, Whipple, reported Friday afternoon
a male subject stole a cardboard Budweiser racing sign as he
left the store. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 12 Aug 06 John M. Landis, age 20, 1990
State Route 339, Belpre, reported being assaulted by a friend
of his girlfriend. Mr. Landis explained that Devin M. Haynes,
age 20, 12 Fifth Street, Belpre, appeared on his doorstep along
with Cory McCullors, age 18, 1604 Hill Street Apt. 18, Belpre,
and refused his requests to leave. Mr. Haynes then shoved his
way through the partially open front door and the two rustled
around the living room, exchanging blows. Intervening, Mr.
McCullors grabbed Mr. Haynes and the two left. In consequence,
Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons for Mr. McCullors
for trespassing and arrested Mr. Haynes for assault and aggravated
trespassing.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dwight Edward Wells, age 46, 14600 Robert Wells Road, Dexter
City, for OVI and driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Wells was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman
Hunter of the Beverly Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 12 Aug 06 at 12:01 am.
John David O’Brien Sr., age 51, 4 Mountaineer Trailer
Park, Williamstown, for domestic violence, a felony. O’Brien
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Aug 06 at 1:34 am.
William Ray Simers, age 46, 35 Wildwood Lake Road, Coolville,
for OVI, driving outside the marked lanes of travel, possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Simers was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Aug 06
at 2:00 am.
Kelly Duane Beaver, age 48, 819 Ridge Street, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Aug 06
at 5:40 am.
Devin Michael Haynes, age 20, 12 Fifth Street, Belpre, for
assault and aggravated trespassing, both misdemeanors. Haynes
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Aug 06 at 6:06 am.
David Allen Sayres, age 41, 223 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta,
for assault, a misdemeanor. Sayres was arrested on Pike Street
in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Aug 06 at 10:19 am.
Shaun Allen Griffin, age 22, 314 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Griffin was arrested at Speedway
on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Aug 06 at 7:43 pm.
Jesse Aaron Anderson, age 23, 138 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation
and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines. Anderson was arrested at Speedway
on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Aug 06 at 8:06 pm.
