On 5 Aug 06 Lt. Wilson arrested Caleb S. Westbrook,
age 23, 2050 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for OVI. Lt. Wilson
observed Mr. Westbrook weaving in and out of his lane on State
Route 618 in Belpre and conducted a traffic stop. Administering
sobriety tests on Mr. Westbrook, Lt. Wilson noted his poor
results and transported him to the Washington County Jail where
he tested .165% BAC.
On 5 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Mervin E. Hill, age 46, 604 Camden Avenue, Parkersburg,
for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Mankins stopped
Mr. Hill on State Route 618 in Belpre Township.
On 5 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a
minor misdemeanor citation to James T. Hasley, age 27, 165A
State Route 26, Marietta, for possessing an open container
of alcohol in a vehicle. Deputy Morris stopped Mr. Hasley for
driving outside the marked lanes on Sandhill Road at Coal Run
Road.
On 5 Aug 06 while investigated the theft of
a 1984 Ford truck owned by Pamela K. Lott, age 46, 2680 Sealy
Ridge Road, Vincent, Deputy Sheriff was informed the suspect
may have arrived at the scene driving a red car. Deputy Evans
located the suspicious vehicle and it was discovered to be
stolen from Dunbar, WV. This case remains under investigation.
On 5 Aug 06 Pamela D. Castle, age 37, 635
Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported being punched by her male
roommate allegedly because he was jealous she invited over
her ex-husband. Ms. Castle declined to pursue the matter further
(1299).
On 5 Aug 06 Jennifer Jorgensen, age 25, 3049
Turkeyhen Road, Fleming, reported being assaulted by her live-in
boyfriend Monty R. Hanning Jr., age 29, while the couple attended
a gathering on Lake Road. For reasons unbeknownst to her, Ms.
Jorgensen stated her boyfriend struck her in the face, dragged
her outside and threw her into a number of railroad ties. Questioned
by Deputy Sheriff Evans regarding his malicious actions, Mr.
Hanning admitted striking his girlfriend because he was angry
that she was flaunting her body. Therefore Deputy Evans arrested
Mr. Hanning for domestic violence and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 5 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Daniel L. Winstanley Jr., age 30, 112 King Avenue, Marietta.
Mr. Winstanley’s wife Frances, age 30, reported she feared
for her safety during a dispute that began after husband had
been drinking all day and acting irrationally. Angered at the
fact his wife wouldn’t let him out of the car to chase
deer, Mr. Winstanley exited the vehicle at their residence
and began beating the truck with a Maglite and sledgehammer.
During the ensuing melee Mr. Winstanley struck his wife in
the chest and broke a chair over her back. As a result, Deputy
Mankins arrested Mr. Winstanley for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Caleb Seth Westbrook, age 23, 2050 Federal Road, Little Hocking,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Westbrook was arrested on State Route
339 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug
06 at 4:23 am.
Duane Arnold Pickering, age 40, 107 Spence Road, Belpre, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Pickering was arrested at his residence by Sgt.
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 06 at 10:05 am.
Scott Lee Carpenter, age 44, 16300 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
a fugitive from justice, a felony. Carpenter was arrested at
Rinks by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug
06 at 1:00 pm.
Graham Michael Cochran, age 22, 1004 Orchard Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a felony. Cochran was arrested at his
residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug
06 at 2:50 pm.
Nicky Lee Lamp, age 33, 41 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Lamp was arrested at his residence by Chief Travaglio of the
New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 5 Aug 06 at 5:25 pm.
Monty Ray Hanning Jr., age 29, 3049 Turkeyhen Road, Fleming,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hanning was arrested
at a residence on Lake Road by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 06 at 5:40 pm.
Michael Scott Angus, age 29, 713 31st Street, Parkersburg,
for OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Angus was
arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 06 at
11:20 pm.
