On 2 Aug 06 a sixty-one year old Waterford resident reported since the beginning of July he has been receiving harassing phone calls from a young female claiming she works for Bank of America. This case remains under investigation (945, 592).

On 2 Aug 06 Ellen G. Baker, age 60, 280 Indian Run Road, Marietta, reported her daughter Christina G. Baker, age 25, 3505 Elm Street, Parkersburg, appeared at her home intoxicated and upset about an argument she had with her ex-boyfriend. Ms. Baker became increasingly disruptive and refused to leave the residence when asked to do so. Ms. Baker then slapped her mother in the neck and threatened to blacken both her eyes. As a result of Ms. Baker’s actions, Deputy Morris requested a warrant for her for domestic violence.

On 2 Aug 06 Kathryn Merckle, age 32, 3683 Brownsville Road, Marietta, reported the former owner of her Great Dane named Harley, took the dog without her permission. This case remains under investigation (1097).

On 2 Aug 06 Deputy Sheriffs Eddy and Reynolds were dispatched to the scene of death of a seventy-three year old New Matamoras resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 2 Aug 06 a number of residents on High Street and Warrior Drive in Vincent reported at least one window of their vehicle was broken. These incidents remain under investigation (592).

On 2 Aug 06 Steven D. Douglas, age 39, 2478 Waterford Road, Marietta, reported fifty assorted aluminum tire rims and fifty copper radiators were stolen from his property on Schultheisz Lane between 29 and 31 Jul 06. This case remains under investigation (501).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Barnett Willie Glover, age 31, 1004 Orchard Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Glover was arrested on State Route 550 in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 1:33 am.

Derek William Deems, age 23, 655 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Deems was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 2:30 am.

Michael Dion Cross Sr., age 36, 1757 Wakefield Drive, Akron, for forgery, a felony. Cross was picked up at the Belmont Correctional Institution by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 3:30 pm.

Terry Lewis Clagg Jr., age 43, 602 Jameson Street, Parkersburg, for aggravated arson, a felony. Clagg was picked up at the Lebanon Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 4:30 pm.

Timothy Alan Hall, age 34, 17941 State Route 550, Marietta, for a felony charge of domestic violence and misdemeanor charges of violating the terms of a protection order and breach of recognizance. Hall was picked in Manatee County, Florida by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 5:15 pm.

Christina Gayle Baker, age 25, 3505 Elm Street, Parkersburg, for OVI, driving under a suspended license and breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Baker was picked arrested at Sierra Apartments by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 5:18 pm.

Shannon Marie Lang, age 26, 120 Howard Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of failure to appear and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Lang was picked in Jackson County, Mississippi by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 5:48 pm.

David Aaron Hansen, age 28, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Hansen was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 7:26 pm.

Brian Lee Miller, age 41, 105 Franklin Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Miller was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Aug 06 at 9:35 pm.
