On 25 Jul 06 at midnight, Deputy Spencer was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle occupied by three subjects parked outside Masonic Park. Deputy Spencer identified the front seat passenger as Garrett Edward Babb, age 21, 105 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, as well as the sixteen year old male driver and seventeen year old female backseat passenger. Questioned on the open can of beer in the cup holder and five unopened cans of Busch Light between his feet, Mr. Babb stated he just purchased the beer for the driver of the vehicle at Speedway thirty minutes earlier. The sixteen year old confirmed Mr. Babb’s account and admitted taking a few drinks of the open beer. As a result, Deputy Spencer requested a summons for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent and arrested Mr. Babb for furnishing alcohol to a minor.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrant:

Shannon M. Lang, age 26, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on 20 Jul 06.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Wylie Wayne Walnoha, age 34, Mechanicsburg Road, Woodsfield, for operating with an expired license, a misdemeanor. Walnoha was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 06 at 5:53 pm.

Gerald David Cline, age 42, 813 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cline was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Davis of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jul 06 at 8:45 pm.

William Joseph Beaver Jr., age 52, 312 Old Beavertown Road, New Matamoras, for two counts of domestic violence, aggravated menacing and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Beaver was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 06 at 11:05 pm.
