On 17 Jul 06 Patricia Murphy, age 35, 885
Long Run Road, Newport, reported between 10 pm and midnight
last night, $170 was stolen from the purse she left in her
vehicle. This case remains under investigation (945).
On 17 Jul 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
a citation to Jessica M. Porter, age 19, 14194 State Route
339, Lowell, for traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy
Morris stopped Ms. Porter on State Route 60 at Millgate Road
in Muskingum Township.
On 17 Jul 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris arrested
Christina G. Baker, age 25, 280 Indian Run Road, Marietta,
for OVI and driving under a suspended license. Deputy Morris
stopped Ms. Baker due to his knowledge from previous encounters
that her license was suspended. Smelling alcohol, Deputy Morris
administered field sobriety tests. Following Ms. Baker’s
poor performance on the tests she was transported to the Washington
County Jail where he tested .166% BAC.
On 17 Jul 06 the parents of a seventeen year
old Marietta resident reported their daughter has repeatedly
taken her mother’s car without permission and ignores
their orders to not associate with certain groups of people.
In consequence, Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons
for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly.
On 17 Jul 06 James E. Sandy, age 28, 5325
State Route 26, Marietta, reported his fiancée was awakened
that morning by a male voice in their garage. When she peered
into the garage, a black male wearing jeans and a white shirt
fled and she escaped to the upstairs of the home. This case
remains under investigation (1020).
On 17 Jul 06 a seventeen year old Little Hocking
resident reported when he awoke that morning his mother informed
him the driver’s side window of his 1987 Firebird was
shattered. Inspecting the inside of the vehicle, the juvenile
noticed his speakers and amplifier were missing. This case
remains under investigation (1090).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gillis Edward Gwinn, age 48, 923 Fifth Street, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Gwinn was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
17 Jul 06 at 1:03 am.
Brenton Dean Metz, age 22, 502 Fourth Street Apt. B, Williamstown,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Metz
was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jul 06 at 8:57 am.
Cynthia Kay Dailey, age 32, 1125 Greene Street,
Marietta, for one felony count and four misdemeanor counts
of failure to appear. Dailey was picked up at the North Central
Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 06 at 12:29 pm.
Thomas Ira Valentine, age 24, 114 Sunset Drive, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Valentine
was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jul 06 at 2:20 pm.
Michael Allen Lee Miller, age 22, 515 Eighth Street Apt. 4,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and domestic
violence, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 06 at 5:26
pm.
Danny Eugene Thomas II, age 26, 21 Mountaineer Trailer Park,
Williamstown, for criminal damaging and domestic violence,
both misdemeanors. Thomas was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 06
at 7:09 pm.
Serena Charlene Lindsey, age 30, 21 Mountaineer Trailer Park,
Williamstown, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Lindsey was arrested on Pike
Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Jul 06 at 7:30 pm.
Christina Gayle Baker, age 25, 280 Indian Run Road, Marietta,
for OVI and driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Baker was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jul 06 at 9:33 pm.
Jeremy Ray Braun, age 22, 195 Caywood Road, Marietta, for
robbery, a felony. Braun was arrested on Barber Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 06
at 9:56 pm.
