On 14 Jul 06 Lt. Huffer arrested Zackary E.
Harmon, age 22, Route 2 Box 147AA, Ravenswood, WV, for .17
breath OVI. Noticing that Mr. Harmon was traveling at 35 mph
in a 55 mph zone, Lt. Huffer conducted a traffic stop. Once
he noticed an odor of alcohol Lt. Huffer requested Mr. Harmon
perform field sobriety tests. Following Mr. Harmon’s
poor performance on the tests, he was arrested and transported
to the Washington County Jail where he tested .193% BAC.
On 14 Jul 06 Wayne Guckert, age 21, 107 Shamrock
Drive, Marietta, reported when he entered his truck to leave
for work he noticed the contents of his wallet strewn about
the seat and $450 in cash and a check missing. This case remains
under investigation (500).
On 14 Jul 06 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued
a citation to James L. Jeter, age 54, 316 Dover Avenue, Bellaire,
OH, for improper lane usage. Deputy McLeish stopped Mr. Jeter
on State Route 7 after observing him using the turn lane to
pass vehicles near Captain Sealey Drive in Marietta.
On 14 Jul 06 the manager of White Oak Pharmacy,
8465 State Route 339, Vincent, reported viewing on a security
tape from 12 Jun, a female suspect stealing a tube of mascara
and a tube of bacitracin ointment. This case remains under
investigation (200).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Justin Daniel Deems, age 26, 18155 State Route 339, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Deems was
arrested on Third Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 2:15 am.
Jeremy Elijah Ernest, age 21, 509 Wirt Street, Belpre, for
operating without a license, reckless operation and for failing
to stop after being involved in an accident, all misdemeanors.
Ernest was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kirby of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 3:00 am.
Zackary Eugene Harmon, age 22, Route 2 Box 147AA, Ravenswood,
WV, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Harmon was arrested
on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road by Lt. Huffer of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 4:05 am.
Brandon Michael Hall, age 21, 3720 Watertown Road, Waterford,
for a felony charge of tampering with evidence and misdemeanor
charges of assaulting a peace officer and tampering with evidence.
Hall was arrested on Alta Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 5:10 am.
Harry Wayne Decker Jr., age 48, Old Camp Road,
New Matamoras, for failure to appear, a felony. Decker was
arrested at the New Matamoras Car Wash by Chief Travaglio of
the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 9:30 pm.
Mikal Leroy Sparks, age 27, 832 Front Street Apt. B, Marietta,
for gross sexual imposition, a felony. Sparks was arrested
on the west side of Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 06 at 11:50 pm.
