On 12 Jun 06 Lt. Huffer and Sgt. Underwood
were dispatched to 252 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, to investigate
an assault complaint. At her residence, Cassie Turrill, age
20, stated she was attempting to stop a guest from damaging
items in the home and was struck in the face. Witnesses to
the incident, Tara E. Meeley, age 19, 1105 15th Street Apt.
C, Vienna, and Kyle M. Nolan, age 19, 422 31st Street, Parkersburg,
offered varying accounts of the assault but both admitted all
parties present consumed alcohol. Ms. Turrill declined to pursue
assault charges but along with Ms. Meeley and Mr. Nolan, was
issued summonses to appear in court for underage consumption
of alcohol.
On 12 Jul 06 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-four year old Little Hocking
resident. The woman’s death appears to be natural; no
foul play is suspected.
On 12 Jul 06 Stacy Warfield, age 25, 20 Maple
Lane, Belpre, reported when she awoke that morning a neighbor
phoned to inform her the rear window of her 1996 Ford Contour
was shattered. Upon further inspection Ms. Warfield observed
a large rock on floorboard of the driver’s side of the
vehicle. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 12 Jul 06 Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 101 Mulberry Street,
Newport. Kimberly S. Donahue, age 47, stated she was angry
that her live-in boyfriend Jason E. Wolfe, age 33, brought
home two friends, one of whom was a half-naked woman on their
couch. The two engaged in a heated argument, during which Mr.
Wolfe struck her in the face several times and pulled the phone
from the wall as she phoned for help. Seeing that Ms. Donahue
found refuge behind a closed bedroom door, Mr. Wolfe broke
the door off its hinges, again assaulted his girlfriend and
threatened her life. Since Mr. Wolfe fled prior to his arrival
Deputy Spencer requested a warrant for Mr. Wolfe for domestic
violence.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jessica A. Tate, age 24, 4255 North State
Route 376, McConnelsville, for a felony charge of failing to
appear for a hearing on 20 Jun 06.
Allen J. Murphy, age 20, 591 Litteral Lane, Argillice, KY,
for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 30 Jun
06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Cody Justin Cline, age 26, 58193 Night Hawk Road, Senecaville,
OH, for assault, a misdemeanor. Cline was arrested on Greene
Street in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 06 at 1:30 am.
Thomas William Gaughan, age 20, 115 Dudley Avenue, Marietta,
for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing
official business, both misdemeanors. Gaughan was arrested
on Sixth Street in Marietta by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 06 at 8:17 am.
Wesley Franklin Warrener, age 39, 849 Greene
Street, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor.
Warrener turned himself in at the courthouse to Lt. Coppernoll
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 06 at 9:21 am.
Jessica Lynn Stevens, age 24, 27163 State Route 7 Apt. D,
Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Stevens was
arrested at her residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Jul 06 at 12:18 pm.
Larry Randolph Murray, age 44, 857 Harris Highway, Parkersburg,
for speeding and driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Murray was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Jul 06 at 5:27 pm.
Adam Christopher Gonzalez, age 24, 210 Cleveland Street, Elyria,
OH, for driving under a suspended license and speeding, both
misdemeanors. Gonzalez was arrested near milepost two on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 06 at 9:09 pm.
