On 5 Jul 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to
Steven L. Umensetter, age 19, Route 1 Box 183B, Davisville,
WV, for pulling a trailer without brake lights. Lt. Wilson
stopped Mr. Umensetter on State Route 7 at Gravel Bank Road
in Warren Township.
On 5 Jun 06 Sandra E. Tucker, age 55, 5675
Federal Road, Coolville, reported being assaulted by her husband
Earl, age 65, in the early hours of the morning. Mrs. Tucker
stated they both consumed a large amount of alcohol and were
discussing earlier, happier times when the conversation soured
over an extra-marital affair she had two years ago. Mrs. Tucker
informed Sgt. Underwood that her husband choked her repeatedly,
knocked her to the floor and hid the phone so she could not
phone for help. Determining Mrs. Tucker was in fear her safety,
Sgt. Underwood arrested Mr. Tucker for domestic violence and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 5 Jul 06 Lt. Wilson, along with Deputy
Sheriffs Norman and Reynolds were dispatched to investigate
a trespassing complaint at 4643 County Nine Road, Marietta.
Upon arrival the Deputies observed two juvenile females exit
the vacant trailer followed by Eric E. Luke, age 19, 808 East
Eighth Street, Marietta, and Jeffrey A. Braun, age 19, 195
Caywood Road, Marietta. The four stated they were drinking
alcohol at a party in the trailer with the permission of Jeremy
Braun, age 22, 195 Caywood Road, who left in one of the juvenile’s
Ford Taurus without permission. The property owner disputed
that claim, stating no one was granted permission to be in
the trailer. The Deputies also identified one of the juveniles
as a sixteen year old runaway, requested a summons for her
to appear in Juvenile Court and returned her to her father’s
custody. Eric Luke and Jeffrey Braun were arrested for contributing
to the unruliness of a juvenile and transported him to the
Washington County Jail. Due to Jeremy Braun’s absence
from the scene Deputy Norman requested a warrant for him for
the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Travis Hansford Wriston, age 23, 905 Lang Farm Road, Marietta,
for .17 breath OVI and driving outside the marked lanes of
travel, both misdemeanors. Wriston was arrested on Market Street
in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jul 06 at 3:00 am.
Earl Eugene Tucker, age 65, 5675 Federal Road, Coolville,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tucker was arrested at
his residence by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jul
06 at 7:05 am.
Eric Ellis Luke, age 19, Marietta, for contributing
to the unruliness/delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor. Luke
was arrested on County Nine Road by Deputy Sheriff Norman and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jul 06 at 2:30
pm.
Jeffrey Allen Braun, age 19, 195 Caywood Road, Marietta, for
contributing to the unruliness/delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor.
Braun was arrested on County Nine Road by Deputy Sheriff Norman
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jul 06 at
4:30 pm.
Derrik Ryan McGee, age 22, Lancaster, for trafficking in drugs
and burglary, both felonies. McGee was picked up at the Southeastern
Correctional Facility in Lancaster by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jul 06 at
4:50 pm.
