On 23 Jun 06 Patty Smith,
age 43, 1192 Patten Mills Road, Bartlett, reported her live-in
boyfriend Tony Hill,
age 40, threatened repeatedly to shoot and kill her. The two
argued for a short time longer then Ms. Smith left the home,
at which time Mr. Hill entered his fifteen year old daughter’s
room. Mr. Hill began degrading Ms. Smith to his daughter, causing
her to laugh in reply. This further angered Mr. Hill, as he
drew his fists and lunged at his daughter, causing her to be
in fear for her safety. At the time Deputy Sheriff Stackpole
took the report Mr. Hill was absent so Deputy Stackpole requested
a warrant for him for two counts of domestic violence.
On 23 Jun 06 Kevin Sams, age 45, 365 Stony
Run Road, Beverly, reported being struck by a vehicle driven
by a recently fired employee. Mr. Sams described to Deputy
Sheriff Morris how Derrick J. Hesson, age 20, 21084 State Route
676, Marietta, became enraged when learning of his termination
and began swearing, spitting and punched him in the chin. Leaving
the scene in his truck, Mr. Hesson threatened to run over Mr.
Sams, swerved toward and hit him with the right front of his
truck. Luckily Mr. Sams grabbed the side of the slow moving
vehicle and avoided being run over and suffered only minor
abrasions. Deputy Morris sent the details on this felonious
assault to the Prosecutor’s Office for possible grand
jury action.
On 23 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole investigated
a report of a female using false identification at the Edgewater
Bar, 860 Muskingum River Road, Marietta. The bartenders provided
a general description for a subject Deputy Stackpole later
identified as Amanda M. Adams, age 18, 371 Walnut Street, Whipple.
Ms. Adams denied using a fake ID to obtain alcohol but claimed
she was never asked for identification. Admitting consuming
several beers, Ms. Adams was arrested for underage consumption
of alcohol and transported to the Washington County Jail.
BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED
At 2:50 this morning an employee on call at General Ambulance,
1094 Clement Avenue Suite 3, Belpre, reported being awakened
and seeing an unknown individual crouched down, fumbling through
a pair of pants. Dale Baker, age 54, 40931 Limburger Ridge,
Reedsville, stated he got up and pushed the suspect, later
identified as Adrian Henderson, age 21, 1094 Clement Avenue,
Belpre, out of the room while calling for assistance from two
coworkers. One employee chased Mr. Henderson out of the building
and watched him flee into the suite next door; monitoring the
building to ensure the suspect did not leave. Law enforcement
arrived and arrested Mr. Henderson for burglary despite his
claims he was in the building for other than nefarious reasons.
Henderson is incarcerated in the Washington County Jail pending
an initial appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.

of a stabbing at Sierra Apartments. Arriving on scene, Deputy
