On 17 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to R. Grant Elliott, age 43, 1882 Masonic Park
Road, Marietta, for pulling a trailer without brake lights
and without a license plate. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Elliott
near the intersection of State Route 7 and Bramblewood Heights
Road in Warren Township.
On 17 Jun 06 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriffs
Malone and Mankins responded to the scene of a domestic dispute
at 565 Dodd Run Road, Marietta. Donna Gilbert, age 41, informed
the Deputies she and her husband Ronald, age 41, argued during
the morning then he consumed several beers and left on his
motorcycle. When Mr. Gilbert returned Mrs. Gilbert said he
began throwing things and slapped her across the face, presumably
because he was angry with his wife. Though Mr. Gilbert fled
into a thick wooded area as the Deputies arrived, Sgt. Underwood
located him a short time later, arrested him for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 17 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched
to Quimby’s Bar in Beverly to instill peace between
two fighting factions outside the establishment. After speaking
to the involved individuals Deputy Evans arrested Daniel
M. Raddish, age 22, 214 Fourth Street, Beverly, for failing
to cease and desist for his repeated refusal to obey instructions
and requested summonses for disorderly conduct by fighting
for:

On 17 Jun 06 Sgt. Hiatt investigated a report
of an intoxicated male passed out in his vehicle outside
the Washington County Home. Roused by Sgt. Hiatt from his
slumber in the driver’s seat was David M. Harmon, age
62, 845 County House Lane, Marietta. Mr. Harmon attempted
field sobriety tests but quit midway, asking Sgt. Hiatt to
let him go to bed. Sgt. Hiatt declined Mr. Harmon’s
request and instead arrested him for being in physical control
of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving
under a suspended license, having fictitious plates, possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 17 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested
Randall E. Stotts, age 49, 1013 Third Street, Marietta, for
.17 breath OVI and possession of drugs. Deputy Evans observed
Mr. Stotts fumble as he attempted to start his motorcycle
outside Quimby’s Bar and administered field sobriety tests. Once
Mr. Stotts performed poorly on the tests, Deputy Evans arrested
him for OVI and located a bag of marijuana in Mr. Stotts’ pocket.
When transported to the Washington County Jail, Mr. Stotts
tested .208% BAC.
On 17 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Cory M. Beruen, age 18,
1100 16th Avenue, Vienna, for not using a turn signal when
turning onto Farson Street from US 50. Asked by Deputy Morris
about the odor of burnt marijuana in his vehicle, Mr. Beruen
confessed he just smoked a marijuana joint and the remnants
were in his ashtray. Confiscating the marijuana, Deputy Morris
issued Mr. Beruen citations for not wearing a seat belt and
possession of marijuana.
On 17 Jun 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
a citation to Joseph W. Hill, age 38, 150 Camelot Road, Belpre,
for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Morris stopped Mr. Hill
on State Route 7 near milepost fifteen in Warren Township.
On 17 Jun 06 Ashley Patel, age 20, 10 Browns
Road Apt. 11A, Marietta, reported being assaulted by her husband
Ryan, age 26, when she arrived home at their apartment at 7:30
that morning. Accusing his wife of cheating on him and attempting
to physically throw her out the door, Mr. Patel shoved her
to the floor and kicked her in the legs and abdomen. After
Mrs. Patel indicated she was in fear for her safety Deputy
Sheriff Simmons arrested Mr. Patel for domestic violence and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.\
On 17 Jun 06 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff
Stackpole were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute
836 Pike Street Apt. 7, Marietta. Involved in the dispute were
the apartment’s resident Yvonne Duskey, age 21, and her
former live-in boyfriend Christopher L. Brinson, age 22, 437
High Street Apt. F, New Philadelphia. Ms. Duskey, with apparent
red marks on her face, stated Mr. Brinson slapped her during
an argument. As a result, Lt. Wilson arrested Mr. Brinson for
domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.

Lee Ann Rice, age 27, 715 Greene Street Apt.
B, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal
damaging, both misdemeanors. Rice was arrested at the Double
L by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06
at 2:45 am.
Randall Eugene Stotts, age 49, 1013 Third Street, Marietta,
for .17 breath OVI and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.
Stotts was arrested on State Route 60 in Beverly by Deputy
Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Jun 06 at 3:23 am.
Daniel Mark Raddish, age 22, 214 Fourth Street, Beverly, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Raddish
was arrested at Quimby’s Bar in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff
Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun
06 at 3:30 am.
Christopher Lee Brinson, age 22, 437 High Street Apt. F, New
Philadelphia, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Brinson
was arrested at Sierra Apartments by Lt. Wilson and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 4:00 am.
Alberta Dawn Gallagher, age 51, 417 Goss Fork Road, Whipple,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Gallagher
was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 6:06 am.
Christopher Ryan Ball, age 26, 50210 State Route 26, Long
Bottom, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Ball
was arrested on Main Street in Belpre by Patrolman Jobes of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 9:12 am.
Ryan Logan Patel, age 26, 10 Browns Road Apt. 11A, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Patel was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 9:33 am.
Matthew James Cornwell, age 22, 124 Dean Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Cornell was
arrested on Colegate Drive in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 4:39 pm.
Ronald Wayne Gilbert, age 41, 565 Dodd Run Road, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Gilbert was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 6:20 pm.
Jennifer Lynn Warrener, age 30, 145 Spring Street, Marietta,
for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Warrener turned
herself in to Corrections Officer Farrell and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 10:30 pm.
Stanley Rupert Smith Jr., age 44, State Route 7, Newport,
for OVI and driving under an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Smith was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jun 06 at 10:50 pm.
David Michael Harmon, age 62, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the
influence of alcohol, driving under a suspended license, having
fictitious plates, possession of drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Harmon was arrested on County
House Lane by Sgt. Hiatt and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jun 06 at 11:15 pm.
