On 6 Jun 06 Craig A.
Nichols, age 51, 325 South Seventh Street, Marietta, reported
sometime since May 15th, an unknown suspect(s) entered a number
of vacant trailers and spray painted over seventy electric
meters at Riverview Estate Trailer Park in Belpre. This case
remains under investigation (586).
On 6 Jun 06 Sgt. Gherke investigated a two
vehicle collision in the parking lot of 4800 State Route 60,
Marietta. Interviewing a witness, Sgt. Gherke determined William
Elfritz, age 62, 115 West Seventh Street, Williamstown, was
backing out of a parking spot when he struck the rear fender
of a Ford Mustang owned by William F. McNickle, 104 Woodshire
Drive, Parkersburg. Mr. Elfritz’s Pontiac Bonneville
and Mr. McNickle’s vehicle both sustained light damage.
TWO ARRESTED IN ATHENS
COUNTY FOR METH LAB
On 6 Jun 06 the Major Crimes Task Force received information
from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division
concerning the existence of a methamphetamine lab located at
4984 Gun Club Road, Athens, OH. Road Patrol units had responded
to a neighborhood dispute at this location and observed a male
subject trying to hide a mason jar with what appeared to contain
meth oil. The officers also detected a very strong chemical
odor. The residence was secured and a search warrant obtained.
A red phosphorus meth lab in the first stage of production
was located and seized. Additional narcotics and weapons were
also seized. Sandra Robbins, age 41, of the above address and
Carl Johnson, age 31, 4222 Mississippi Street, Hot Springs,
Arizona were arrested for manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The charge was elevated to an F2 felony due to the presence
of young children in the residence. The two are being held
in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail without bond pending
an appearance in court. Additional charges of Weapons under
Disability against Johnson are expected to be presented to
the next session of the Athens County Grand Jury.
FUGITIVE FROM IOWA ARRESTED IN WASHINGTON
COUNTY
Acting on a tip from the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers in Columbus,
OH Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Mark Hiatt
arrested Suzanne Mechelle Shepard, age 52, 2020 Bear Run Road,
Reno, OH for being a fugitive from justice. Shepard had been
charged in Iowa with Willful Injury with a Knife and Domestic
Abuse while Displaying a Weapon. Shepard had stabbed her boyfriend
several times during an argument and then fled to Ohio to avoid
prosecution.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Suzanne Mechelle Shepard, age 52, 2020 Bear
Run Road, Reno, a fugitive from justice. Shepard was arrested
at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff's
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun
06 at 2:05 am.
Jill Ann Flinn, age 31, 1460 McGill Road,
Vincent, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Flinn was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 06 at 12:15
pm.
Corey Clifford Boring, age 29, 2121 Panhandle Road Apt. 13,
Delaware, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Boring
was arrested at the Courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Morris and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 06 at 3:48
pm.
Clyde Edward Spencer II, age 21, 3849 Rockford Lane, Columbus,
for two felony counts of failure to appear. Spencer was arrested
at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Lt. Huffer of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Jun 06 at 7:00 pm.
Kirk Alan Mason, age 18, 288 Ridgewood Court Apt. E, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and for failing to obey
the right of way, both misdemeanors. Mason turned himself in
to Lt. Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun
06 at 11:30 pm.
Lionel Justin Gore, age 19, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras,
for felony charges of vandalism and failure to comply with
the order/signal of an officer and misdemeanor charges of aggravated
menacing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct by intoxication
and underage consumption of alcohol. Gore was arrested in New
Matamoras by Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 06 at
11:50 pm.
