On 4 Jun 06 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff
Norman were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute at
356 Coffman Road, Marietta. The victim, Tammy Beaver, age 47,
stated she was discussing the status of their relationship
with her live-in boyfriend Allen L. Morris, age 53, in the
bedroom of their apartment when Mr. Morris angered and hit
the ceiling fan. Gripping Ms. Beaver by the shirt, Mr. Morris
pushed her into the closet then dragged her into the living
room and forced her into a recliner, ripping her shirt in the
process. Mr. Morris then left the scene, allowing Ms. Beaver
to phone for assistance. Sgt. Hiatt located Mr. Morris in his
vehicle on Blue Knob Road, arrested him for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 4 Jun 06 Eric Nutter, age 41, 480 Rummer
Road Apt. B, Marietta, reported when he looked outside after
awaking that morning he observed an eleven year old neighbor
boy standing in front of one of windows with what he thought
was a screwdriver. This case remains under investigation (586).
4 Jun 06 Christina R. Hines, age 35, 711
Ninth Street, Marietta, reported while she was with friends
in Pittsburgh for the weekend an acquaintance borrowed her
car without permission and wrecked it. This case remains under
investigation (953).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Matthew James Cornell, age 22, 124 Dean Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Cornell was
arrested at Lane’s Farm by Probation Officer Gault and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 1:16
am.
Amy Suzanne Farnsworth, age 19, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth
was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 2:06 am.
Robert Gale Vaughn, age 50, 4299 State Route 339, Belpre,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Vaughn
was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 3:56 am.
James Edward Britton Jr., age 57, 822 Clifton Street, Marietta,
for a felony charge of OVI and misdemeanor charges of failure
to reinstate his operator’s license, not wearing a seat
belt and failure to signal. Britton was arrested on Elmwood
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 3:27 pm.
Allen Leroy Morris, age 53, 356 Coffman Road, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Morris was arrested on Blue
Knob Road by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 8:00 pm.
Kenneth Royden Sparks, age 28, 220 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and failure to maintain
assured clear distance, both misdemeanors. Sparks was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jun 06 at 9:10 pm.
