On 3 Jun 06, during a traffic stop on Tennis
Center Drive, Deputy Sheriff Stackpole observed an open eighteen
pack of beer at the foot of backseat passenger John J. Grasley,
age 19, 106 Brandy Drive, Marietta. Mr. Grasley, who admitted
being the owner of the beer and tested .147% BAC, was arrested
for underage consumption of alcohol and transported to the
Washington County Jail.
On 3 Jun 06 Tony Hill, age 40, 1192 Patten
Mills Road, Cutler, reported Martin D. Welch Jr., age 34, an
acquaintance he allows to live in a camper on his property,
took his 1986 Chevy truck without permission and has yet to
return. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Stackpole requested a warrant
for Mr. Welch for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
On 3 Jun 06 Bessie H. Harman, age 41, 1245
Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, reported being assaulted by
her former live-in boyfriend Dale E. Dalrymple, age 28. While
asleep on the couch, Ms. Harman said Mr. Dalrymple entered
her home through the front door and began fumbling around,
looking for his belongings. She awoke, informing Mr. Dalrymple
his property was in a storage building on her property. Mr.
Dalrymple continued rummaging about and an argument ensued,
during which time he hit the back of Ms. Harman’s head
and pushed her against a wall. Because attempts to locate Mr.
Dalrymple were unsuccessful, Deputy Sheriff Eddy requested
a warrant for him for domestic violence.
On 3 Jun 06 Christal Greenleaf, age 27, 450
Main Street, Waterford, reported an unknown suspect cut the
lock off her storage building at Muskingum Mini Storage in
Beverly and stole fourteen Middleton Dolls valued at over $2,000.
Further investigating the scene, Detective Johnson noticed
the locks were also cut of nine other storage units. Two days
later Pam Lukowski, age 50, PO Box 115, Waterford, reported
a Toro leaf blower, fishing poles, a metal detector, a television,
two VCR’s and a paintball gun were stolen from her storage
unit. This case remains under investigation.
On 3 Jun 06 Jessica Mick, age 20, 225 Maple
Drive, Williamstown, reported a member of her ex-boyfriend’s
family assaulted her while she was in a Reno residence retrieving
some of her property. This case remains under investigation
(500, 953).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joel Andrew Johnson, age 25, 814 Warren Street, Marietta,
for OVI, failure to reinstate his operator’s license
and failure to signal, all misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested
on Greene Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 06 at
1:00 am.
John Jacob Grasley, age 19, 106 Brandy Drive, Marietta, for
underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Grasley was
arrested on Sunnyview Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 06 at
2:10 am.
Joshua Eric Burkhart, age 18, 655 Goose Run Road, Marietta,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Burkhart
was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 06 at 2:40 am.
Donovan Giovanni Taylor, age 25, 2853 Moreland Drive, Columbus,
for a felony charge of trafficking in drugs and misdemeanor
charges of possession of a controlled substance and failure
to yield. Taylor was arrested on Farson Street in Belpre by
Patrolman Smeeks of the Belpre City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 06 at 6:30 am.
Shawn Gale Thomas, age 36, 121 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Thomas was
arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 06 at 9:42 pm.
