On 27 May 06, while on patrol in the vicinity
of Second and Wooster Streets in Marietta, Detective Sirianni
observed a young male stumbling and staggering as he walked
across the street. Detective Sirianni spoke with the extremely
intoxicated fifteen year old Marietta resident and observed
a partially full 1.5 liter bottle of diluted vodka in his hand.
Delivering the juvenile to his mother’s custody, Detective
Sirianni also requested a summons for the juvenile to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
On 27 May 06 Stephen C. Dowler, age 48, 3168
Veto Road, Vincent, reported while he was away from his residence
for eight hours beginning at noon, an unknown suspect pried
the lock off a storage building on his property and stole two
Stihl chainsaws, a Stihl leaf blower and a Craftsman interchangeable
tool set.
On 27 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a collision involving a pedestrian and a dirt bike at 2087
Barth Road, Marietta. Receiving treatment for an injury to
his right forearm at Marietta Memorial Hospital, David W. Lowery,
age 19, 182 Dawes Circle, Marietta, believed the motorcycle’s
rider struck him intentionally. Several witnesses however,
stated the motorcyclist braked hard before the collision and
swerved to avoid hitting Mr. Lowery. Mr. Lowery’s injury
was deemed minor and will heal naturally.
On 27 May 06 Detective Sirianni, patrolling
during midnight shift, observed a female subject carrying a
dog near the Par Mar at Moore’s Junction on State Route
7. Stopping to question the woman, identified as Marcella M.
Davidson, age 58, 20727 Sharps Run Road, Stewart, Detective
Sirianni noticed an odor of alcohol. As a result, Detective
Sirianni arrested Ms. Davidson for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Charles Schlicher, age 26, 219 Meigs Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, criminal damaging,
resisting arrest and disorderly conduct by intoxication, all
misdemeanors. Schlicher was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 06 at 2:55 am.
Mitchell Lee Greenwood, age 20, 35 Heeter Road, Newport, for
OVI, driving under a suspended license and failure to control,
all misdemeanors. Greenwood was arrested on State Route 260
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 May 06 at 4:51 am.
Larry James Freeland, age 34, 16 Fifth Street, Belpre, for
violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Freeland was
arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Gault and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 06 at 5:15 am.
Marcella Mae Davidson, age 58, 20727 Sharps Run Road, Stewart,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Davidson
was arrested at Par Mar on State Route 7 by Detective Sirianni
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 06 at 5:20 am.
James Andrew Hoard, age 18, 686 Richard Drive, Xenia, OH,
for operating without a license vand speeding, both misdemeanors.
Hoard was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27
May 06 at 8:10 am.
