On 18 May 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to Robert J. Tahsler, age 32, 4067 Roanoke Drive, Brunswick,
OH, for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Lt. Wilson
stopped Mr. Tahsler near milepost eight on Interstate 77 in
Salem Township.
On 18 May 06 Toby Heiss, age 43, 295 Offenberger
Lane, Lowell, reported a family member allegedly gave his Speed
X tractor to another family member without permission. This
case remains under investigation (945).
On 18 May 06 Lt. Canavan and Sgt. Underwood
responded to a series of three 911 hang up calls originating
from Warren Elementary School. Informed that the calls were
not of emergency nature, the Deputies learned through witnesses
that a fourteen year old Marietta resident placed the calls
despite his friends’ pleas not to do so. As a result,
Lt. Canavan requested a summons for the juvenile to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
On 18 May 06 Bobbie Cantwell, age 32, 324
Second Street, Macksburg, reported her estranged husband James,
age 33, 301 Broad Street, Macksburg, punched her in the face
while she was seated in friend’s car in her driveway.
Mrs. Cantwell stated her husband harassed her during a coincidental
meeting at the Elk Tavern and was waiting for her at her residence
when she returned home. There Mr. Cantwell began arguing with
his wife and grabbed the driver’s side window, at which
time he struck her in the face. Lt. Wilson and Deputy Sheriff
Norman later located Mr. Cantwell, arrested him for domestic
violence and violating a protection order and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ryan Palmer Szafraniec, age 22, 331 Bonniewood
Drive, Cleveland, for .17 breath OVI and driving outside the
marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Szafraniec was arrested
on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 May 06 at 3:22 am.
Jodie Dawn Miller, age 22, 1208 Lockwood Street
Apt. B, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Miller was arrested at her residence by Probation
Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 18 May 06 at 10:28 am.
Daniel Boone Grose Jr., age 31, 7 Twenty Nine Drive, Nelsonville,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Grose was
picked up at SEPTA by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 06 at 6:21 pm.
Troy Eugene McKown, age 23, 146 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for
driving under an FRA suspended license, possession of drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. McKown
was arrested in Beverly by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 06 at 8:13
pm.
James M. Cantwell Jr., age 33, 16794 Minerva Avenue, Caldwell,
for a felony charge of domestic violence and a misdemeanor
charge of violating the terms of a protection order. Cantwell
was arrested in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 06 at 11:47 pm.
