On 16 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole stopped a vehicle on State Route 7 near Moore’s Junction for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Noticing an odor of alcohol in the vehicle, Deputy Stackpole also observed an open can of beer in the console of the vehicle driven by Harvy B. Banks, age 61, 523 Eighth Street, Marietta. Mr. Banks stated he just purchased the beer and was drinking it on his way home from work. As a result, Deputy Stackpole issued Mr. Banks a citation for speeding, arrested him for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 16 May 06 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to Aaron M. Hess, age 27, 270 Ridgewood Drive Apt. H, Marietta, for operating an unsafe vehicle. Lt. Huffer observed Mr. Hess operating an ATV with his ten year old son on his lap on State Route 550 at Virginia Street in Warren Township.

On 16 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Kaelly A. Harper, age 19, 715 Second Street, Marietta, for traveling 73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Stackpole stopped Ms. Harper on State Route 7 at Township Road 7 in Warren Township.

On 16 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued minor misdemeanor citations to James H. Ridgeway, age 41, 1870 Rinard Mills Road, New Matamoras, and Terry L. Ridgeway, age 39, 374727 Sunset Trailer Court, Sardis, for disorderly conduct by fighting. The brothers are accused of engaging in an altercation in the driveway of the elder Ridgeway while the two were voluntarily intoxicated on 14 May 06.

Bobby L. Anderson, age 46, 5056 Ireland Road, Coolville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $2,196.80.

Molly M. Azbell, age 34, 449 Franklin Street, Nelsonville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $487.50.

Aireal N. Bennett, age 20, 943 Roberts Drive, Elgin, SC, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $223.40.

Matthew K. Burke, age 35, 1416 Hocking Road, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $535.40.

Georgene M. Christopher, age 37, 4 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,077.50.

William A. Clack, age 25, 943 Roberts Drive, Elgin, SC, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $502.90.

Daniel J. Crossno, age 46, PO Box 412, Lester, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $538.

Bryan L. Daugherty, age 25, 618 Shawnee Trail, Point Pleasant, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $369.

Thomas L. Duran, age 40, 696 SW Washington Avenue, Fort White, FL, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $122.

Danny L. Ferguson, age 41, 3444 Moxahala Park Road Lot 12, Zanesville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $281.90.

Tamera L. Glover, age 37, 19041 State Route 26, Reno, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $297.

Sherry L. Goodwin, age 29, 1100 Kanawha Boulevard West, Charleston, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $343.

Mark Hall, age 19, 813 Garfield SW, Canton, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $474.30.

Justin A. Harris, age 24, 118 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and failing to show proof of attending or completing counseling as ordered by the court.

Patrick S. Johnson, age 21, 701 State Route 124, Coolville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $96.

Jed L. Lessard, age 19, 1530 Nichols Road, Whipple, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $410.

Juanita D. Lynn, age 28, Pennock Trailer Court Lot 49, Beverly, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $450.90.

Billy E. Moore, age 44, 1003 West Main Street Apt. 2, Ravenna, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $858.80.

Brian Moore, age 32, 211 Garfield Avenue, Gallipolis, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $172.70.

Matthew S. Nixon, age 24, 26115 State Route 7, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $671.25.

Scott R. Reedy, age 22, 25 Pinegrove Drive, Nelsonville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $746.

Helena D. Riggs, age 32, 3425 State Route 530, Lowell, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $372.90.

Terrence D. Roddy, age 35, 783 Warrior Drive, Barlow, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $265.

Lucas W. Wharton, age 27, 1318 North Street, Caldwell, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and failing to attend counseling as ordered by the court.

Natasha Williams, age 24, 3 Powers Road, Mendon, VA, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $115.50.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Marcos Banda Vaca, age 23, 1906 Lacava Street, Friendswood, TX, for OVI and driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Vaca was arrested on Fifth Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 3:13 am.

Kirk Michael Urban, age 30, 351 Everson Road, Belpre, for theft, a felony. Urban turned himself in to Corrections Officer Bichard and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 7:30 am.

Skylar James Ridgeway, age 23, Caldwell, for two felony counts of burglary. Ridgeway was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 10:50 am.

Kenneth Dwayne Varnado Jr., age 20, 2202 Hill Street Apt. G, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Varnado was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 11:30 am.

Daniel Boone Grose Jr., age 31, Twenty Nine Drive, Nelsonville, for attempting to use deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a felony. Grose was picked up at SEPTA by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 3:55 pm.

Harvy Bernard Banks, age 61, 523 Eighth Street, Marietta, for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and speeding, both misdemeanors. Banks was arrested on Bramblewood Heights Road by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 5:13 pm.

Michael Johnson, age 49, 728 Second Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 6:30 pm.

Aaron Matthew Hess, age 27, 270 Ridgewood Drive Apt. H, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Hess was arrested on State Route 550 by Lt. Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 6:35 pm.

Steven Douglas Fulton, age 52, 715 Quarry Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 06 at 9:16 pm.
