On 5 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Jeremiah L. Williams, age 29, 150 Pitts Road,
Marietta, for operating with expired tags. Deputy Mankins stopped
Mr. Williams on State Route 7 at Joe Skinner Road in Belpre
Township.
On 5 May 06 a sixty-nine year old Vincent
resident reported receiving several harassing phone calls over
several hours that evening. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 5 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to William J. Hicks, age 31, Route 3 Box 177A, Ripley,
WV, for pulling a trailer without a license plate and without
brake or tail lights. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Hicks on State
Route 7 at Lockhart Street in Belpre Township.
On 5 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Jodi M. Murray, age 48, 1804 Bramblebush NW,
Massillon, OH, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy
Mankins stopped Ms. Murray on State Route 7 at Lockhart Street
in Belpre Township.
On 5 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to William J. Hicks, age 31, Route 3 Box 177A, Ripley,
WV, for pulling a trailer without a license plate and without
brake or tail lights. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Hicks on State
Route 7 at Lockhart Street in Belpre Township.
On 5 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Rollin D. Baker, age 52, Route 2v Box 72, Pennsboro,
WV, for pulling a trailer without brake or tail lights. Deputy
Mankins stopped Mr. Baker on Gravel Bank Road at State Route
7 in Warren Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Louis Charles Bitsko Jr., age 19, 9615 Fairmont Road, Russell,
OH, for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge
of theft. Bitsko turned himself in to Officer Moon of the Marietta
College Police Department and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 5 May 06 at 9:26 pm.
Robert Leroy Metheney Jr., age 27, 405 Cougar Street, New
Matamoras, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Metheney was arrested in New
Matamoras by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 5 May 06 at 11:51 pm.
