On 3 May 06 Detective Brockmeier issued a
citation to Kevin A. Williams, age 18, 715 Fourth Street, New
Matamoras, for not stopping for a school bus with its stop
signals extended. Detective Brockmeier stopped Mr. Williams
on Sandhill Road Reno.
On 3 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Sandra S. Casto, age 58, 147 Laurel Lane, Washington,
WV, for driving left of center. Deputy Mankins stopped Ms.
Casto on Lancaster Street near State Route 7 in Pioneer Township.
On 3 May 06 a twenty-seven year old Vincent
resident reported an acquaintance continued to phone his home
despite his repeated orders for her not to do so. This case
remains under investigation (1020).
On 3 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Hall and Chief
Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police Department attempted
to arrest a suspect at the residence of Peggy S. Wells, age
38, 707 Fourth Street, New Matamoras. When the two officers
observed the suspect inside the residence a short skirmish
ensued and the suspect escaped on foot. After a prior incident
closely mirroring that of the one that just transpired, Ms.
Wells was informed that if the suspect returned to her residence
she must call law enforcement or be charged with a crime. Due
to Ms. Wells’ inaction, Deputy Hall arrested her for
obstructing justice and transported her to the Washington County
Jail.
On 3 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Shawn N. Faddis, age 23, 211 Washington Boulevard
Apt. 5A, Belpre, for failure to reinstate his operator’s
license. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Faddis on State Route 7
at Gravel Bank Road in Warren Township.
On 3 May 06 Carolyn S. Miller, age 59, 245
Congress Road, Belpre, reported two angel ornaments adorning
her yard were stolen at approximately 10:45 pm the previous
evening. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 3 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Eddy requested
a summons for Noel Fairchild, age 40, 101 Dye Circle, Marietta,
for the theft of six pickup truck railings. Mr. Fairchild and
an accomplice allegedly stole the railings from a residence
on State Route 26 on 7 Mar 06.
On 3 May 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to
Amy L. Hanson, age 30, Route 3 Box 136F, Sandyville, WV, for
pulling a trailer without brake or tail lights. Lt. Wilson
stopped Ms. Hanson on Gravel Bank Road at State Route 7 in
Warren Township.
On 3 May 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to
Ricky A. Ohlinger, age 31, 4227 Johnson Ridge Road, Stockport,
for not having a front license plate. Lt. Wilson stopped Mr.
Ohlinger on Gravel Bank Road at State Route 7 in Warren Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Peggy Sue Wells, age 38, 707 Fourth Street,
New Matamoras, for obstructing justice, a misdemeanor. Wells
was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Hall and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 May 06 at 8:45 pm.
Nathan Michael Pomroy, age 28, 309 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta,
for domestic violence, criminal damaging and resisting arrest,
all misdemeanors. Pomroy was arrested at his residence by Patrolman
Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 May 06 at 9:20 pm.
James Elton Buck, age 48, 743 Greene Street, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Buck was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 May 06 at 10:14 pm.
