On 2 May 06 Paul F. Newbanks Jr., age 48,
7923 Veto Road, Belpre, reported while reconciling the checking
account he shares with his fiancée he noticed four checks
missing from their joint account, two of which were forged
for a total of $465. Furthermore, Mr. Newbanks stated a Maglite
and a half gallon jar of change went missing during the four
months his daughter’s boyfriend stayed with them. This
case remains under investigation (296).
On 2 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Simmons issued
a citation to Calvin C. Dixon, age 19, 704 Center Street, Beverly,
for reckless operation. Deputy Simmons stopped Mr. Dixon after
witnessing him “powerbraking” on Sixth Street between
Center and Park Street in Beverly.
On 2 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Shawn N. Bonar, age 30, 134 Whipkey Drive, Waterford,
for operating with expired temporary tags. Deputy Mankins stopped
Mr. Bonar on State Route 550 at Blue Knob Road in Warren Township.
On 2 May 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Bryan M. Hardman, age 30, 1511 Ridgeway Avenue,
Parkersburg, for failure to display his registration. Deputy
Mankins stopped Mr. Hardman on State Route 7 at Gravel Bank
Road in Warren Township.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Wesley F. Warrener, age 39, 849 Greene Street,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 17 Apr 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Keegan Anthony Haid, age 20, 1268 Tearcoat
Road, Arthur, WV, for theft, possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Haid was arrested
at Marietta College by Officer Moon of the Marietta College
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 May 06 at 12:15 am.
Benjamin Reed Coffman, age 29, Caldwell, for
possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs, both felonies.
Coffman was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 May 06 at 11:43 am.
Shane Michael Hardie, age 30, 761 Buckeye Avenue, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hardie
was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Heddleston
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 2 May 06 at 3:39 pm.
