On 29 Apr 06 the owner of Gary’s Towing, 1409 Pike Street, Marietta, reported sometime over the past few days an unknown suspect(s) threw a rock across the fence into his business’ impound lot and broke the window of a Kenworth truck. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 29 Apr 06 Steven E. Wagner, age 44, 630 Becker Road, Whipple, reported while he left his truck parked at 3351 State Route 821, Marietta during the night, an unknown suspect(s) broke the latch of his rear window and stole two Pioneer speakers, a come along and his vehicle registration and insurance card. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 29 Apr 06 a thirty-nine year old Belpre resident reported finding in his fifteen year old son’s room, a marijuana pipe and plastic bags he believes his son uses to inhale butane. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 29 Apr 06 Tina L. Shrader, age 42, 2805 Millers Lane, Reno, reported when she and her boyfriend returned to their residence from bowling the door to their home was ajar and the interior was in disarray. The only item missing, stated Ms. Shrader, was a lockbox containing over $1,700 in cash, a Cici’s Pizza gift certificate and personal papers. This case remains under investigation (1299).

On 29 Apr 06 an employee of Bartlett Farmer’s Bank, 8515 State Route 339, Vincent, reported the same individual who cashed a $1,200 check on a closed account on 24 Apr attempted to cash a second check on the same closed account. Deputy Sheriff Stackpole located the suspect, whose vehicle matched the description given by the bank teller, at 2836 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent. Later under questioning, the home’s residents, Mike and Tracy Walker, ages 29 and 33, respectively, admitted they discovered the checks at Mr. Walker’s employer’s among a box of items from a foreclosed home in West Virginia. Mr. Walker then wrote the check naming his mother as the payee and his wife cashed the check later that day. Due to the substantial amount of the check and acts of forgery and uttering, this case is being sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for grand jury consideration.

On 29 Apr 06 Fred E. Bruce Jr., age 46, 389 Muskingum River Road, Marietta, reported a 2003 Yamaha dirt bike he had chained to another motorcycle under his carport and a motorcycle helmet were stolen between 10 pm the previous evening and 3:30 that afternoon. This case remains under investigation (953).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Steven Michael Hennegan, age 20, 2956 Kingman Drive, Cincinnati, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hennegan was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Officer Ruble of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 06 at 12:45 am.

Jacob Michael Kabelen, age 19, 564 Glen Park Drive, Bay Village, OH, for underage consumption of alcohol, disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal trespassing, all misdemeanors. Kabelen was arrested at Parsons Hall by Officer Radford of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 06 at 3:45 pm.

Ryan Andrew Dick, age 19, 344 Longspur Road, Highland Heights, OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Dick was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 06 at 5:00 pm.

Catherine Elizabeth Zelei, age 20, 298 Babbling Brooke Oval, Hinckley, OH, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Zelei was arrested at Marietta College by Officer Ruble of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 06 at 7:00 pm.

Richard John Sikina, age 20, 1005 Paul Revere Drive, Gibsonia, PA, for underage consumption of alcohol and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Sikina was arrested at Marietta College by Officer Moon of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 06 at 10:30 pm.
