On 26 Apr 06 Sgt. Hiatt issued a citation
to Michael E. Dunwagy, age 48, 100 Brum Street, Marietta, for
failure to register. Sgt. Hiatt stopped Mr. Dunwagy at the
intersection of Fourth and Greene Streets in Marietta.
On 26 Apr 06 Angela D. Carpenter, age 38,
1150 Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend
Dan L. Tewkesbury, age 43, assaulted her during the late hours
of the previous evening. An argument began over a potential
confrontation between a relative of Ms. Carpenter and Mr. Tewkesbury
as well as over the use of a vehicle belonging to Ms. Carpenter.
Ms. Carpenter further detailed that the argument escalated
as Mr. Tewkesbury slapped her in the face and arm, kick at
her and threatened to kill her. When located at another residence
and questioned, Mr. Tewkesbury denied his girlfriend’s
allegations and claimed the handprint on Ms. Carpenter’s
arm was from where he grabbed her in an attempt to calm her
down. Nevertheless, Mr. Tewkesbury was arrested for domestic
violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Shaun M. McFarland, age 27, 523 Phillips Street,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear on an order to
show cause on 11 Apr 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Todd Carder, age 33, Route 4 Box 94,
Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license, operating
with plates belonging to the vehicle’s former owner and
having a faulty license plate light, all misdemeanors. Carder
was arrested on Acme Street in Marietta by Patrolman Titus
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 06 at 1:36 am.
Dan Landers Tewkesbury, age 43, 1150 Sandhill
Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tewkesbury
was arrested at a residence on Muskingum Drive in Marietta
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 06
at 8:35 am.
Samuel David Simerl, age 23, 127 Lancaster Street, Athens,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation
and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Simerl was arrested
at a residence on Orchard Street in Marietta by Patrolman Newell
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 06 at 12:35 pm.
Sharon Sue Lewis, age 48, 310 Morris Loop Road, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Lewis was arrested at
her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26
Apr 06 at 1:40 pm.
