On 22 Apr 06 Sgt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff Stackpole were dispatched to investigate a possible domestic dispute reported by a third party. The individuals allegedly involved along with a witness denied any such incident occurred, thus this case is closed as unfounded.

Haverty, age 32, 1608 Cleveland Street, Arlington, VA, was distraught over the fact that his twelve year old dog was fatally ill and had to be destroyed. The death of the animal combined with the consumption of a half a bottle of Southern Comfort caused Mr. Haverty to become very angry and upset. As a result of his actions, Mr. Haverty was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.
