On 19 Apr 06 Chester W. Henthorn, age 60,
1150 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Marietta, reported that around
10 am that morning Robert E. Carpenter, age 32, 2665 Mill Fork
Road, Marietta, drove by his residence with a truckload of
scrap metal he recognized as coming from his property. At the
American Car Crusher Mr. Carpenter denied stealing the metal,
claiming to Deputy Sheriff Norman he was given permission to
take the items a year ago. Once Mr. Carpenter’s claim
was refuted, Deputy Norman arrested him for theft and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 19 Apr 06 Forrest Boone, age 34, 1835 Mount
Tom Road, Marietta, reported when he entered his unlocked Chevy
Cavalier to drive to work that morning he noticed his wallet
and steering wheel cover were missing from inside. This case
remains under investigation (586).
On 19 Apr 06 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to Matthew C. Assevin, age 23, 114 Oakview Drive, Marietta,
for failure to register. Lt. Wilson stopped Mr. Assevin on
Oakwood Avenue in Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Joseph Dennis, age 42, HC 60 Box 235, Pine Grove,
WV, for OVI, not wearing a seat belt and failure to control,
all misdemeanors. Dennis was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Apr 06 at 3:00 am.
Jason Donley Delong, age 36, 2502 Lincoln Avenue, Parkersburg,
for OVI and failure to signal, both misdemeanors. Delong was
arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 06
at 5:57 am.
Robert Edward Carpenter, age 32, 2665 Mill
Fork Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Carpenter was arrested
on Gravel Bank Road in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Norman and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 06 at 2:55
pm.
Corey Enos Singer, age 27, 906 Warren Street, Marietta, for
two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Singer was arrested
at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Apr 06 at 4:05 pm.
Rita Marie McCroy, age 32, 307 Third Street, Lowell, for driving
under a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt, both
misdemeanors. McCroy was arrested on State Route 60 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Apr 06 at 9:20 pm.
