On 15 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Simmons investigated
a two vehicle crash involving a sixteen year old Fleming resident
and Patrick A. Lockhart, age 28, 198 Main Street, Lowell, in
the Kardex parking lot. The collision occurred as Mr. Lockhart
traveled northbound and the sixteen year old eastbound, both
at approximately 10 mph. Mr. Lockhart’s Chevy S-10 sustained
light damage and was driven from the scene while the juvenile’s
Pontiac Grand Am sustained moderate damage and remained at
the scene. No injuries were reported.
On 15 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Malone was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 425 Dodd Run Road, Marietta.
Velinda Berga, age 28, stated she and her husband Matthew,
age 27, recently arrived home after drinking alcohol at establishments
in Marietta. For reasons unknown to Mrs. Berga, her husband
became upset, pulled her by the hair down the stairs of their
front porch and slammed her head into the windshield of her
Chrysler New Yorker. Unable to locate Mr. Berga while patrolling
the area, Deputy Malone requested a warrant for Mr. Berga for
domestic violence.
On 15 Apr 06 Beatrice L. Burkhart, age 62,
122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 8, Marietta, reported at approximately
9 pm the previous evening an individual she knows entered her
apartment without permission and startled her. Deputy Sheriff
Spencer determined the suspect exhibited no malicious intent,
the incident was a misunderstanding.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey Alan Theiss, age 28, 27130 State Route 7, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Theiss was arrested in
Reno by Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 15 Apr 06 at 4:30 am.
Douglas Allen Ward, age 47, 132 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ward was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
15 Apr 06 at 9:20 am.
Philip John Pettit Jr., age 31, 231 Faye Avenue, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Pettit was arrested at
his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
15 Apr 06 at 6:15 pm.
