On 12 Apr 06 Louis R. Lang, 1275 Lang Farm
Road, Marietta, reported while he was feeding his cattle that
morning he noticed two Marietta Times and two Marietta AM newspaper
boxes laying in the field. Learning from the newspapers that
the boxes were stolen from inside the city, Dispatchers directed
the newspapers to the Marietta City Police Department and arranged
for them to pick up the boxes at Mr. Lang’s farm (305).
On 12 Apr 06 Rhonda E. Strahler, age 57, 36237
Darrah Ridge Road, Macksburg, reported being assaulted by another
employee of RJF the afternoon of 11 Apr 06. Mrs. Strahler claimed
her assailant pushed her on the shoulder hard enough to make
her stumble during a disagreement over the operation of a hoist.
Citing the lack of corroborating witnesses and injuries to
Mrs. Strahler, Lt. Canavan closed this case as unfounded.
On 12 Apr 06 Detective Schuck issued a citation
to Jared T. Schlicher, age 26, 119 North Hart Street, Marietta,
for failing to obey a traffic control device and not using
a turn signal. Detective Schuck stopped Mr. Schlicher at the
intersection of Gilman Avenue and Putnam Street in Marietta.
On 12 Apr 06 Detective Schuck issued a citation
to Christina Hower, age 21, 15870 State Route 550, Fleming,
for driving under a suspended license and not using a turn
signal. Detective Schuck stopped Ms. Hower at the intersection
of Gilman Avenue and Putnam Street in Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ralph Victor James, age 60, 142 Sixth Street,
Steubenville, OH, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.
James was arrested on Greene Street by Officer Moon of the
Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Apr 06 at 1:51 am.
David Francis Toncray, age 20, 4680 Federal
Road, Coolville, a fugitive from justice. Toncray was arrested
in Belpre by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Apr 06 at 2:08 pm.
Jessie Jerome Adams, age 48, Route 2 Box 197, Walker, WV,
for being a fugitive from justice and for a misdemeanor charge
of theft. Adams was picked up in West Virginia by Patrolman
Garvey of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr 06 at 4:05 pm.
Jeffrey William Hunn, age 20, Route 1 Box 202, Reedsville,
WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Hunn
was picked up at SEPTA by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr 06 at 5:01
pm.
Traci Lee Schaad, age 31, 302 Maple Street, Marietta, for
operating with an expired registration, a misdemeanor. Schaad
was arrested at Flanders Field by Patrolman Arbaugh of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Apr 06 at 10:00 pm.
