On 7 Apr 06 Lt. Wilson and Deputy Sheriff Morris conducted a traffic stop on US 50 after observing a vehicle with one functioning brake light. Asking for permission to search after observing a marijuana cigarette in the ashtray, the Deputies also recovered stems from a marijuana plant and rolling papers in the wallet of the driver, Billy J. Davis, age 30, 19 High Street, Vincent. As a result, Mr. Davis was arrested for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jennifer N. Pinkerman, age 18, 807 Belrock Street, Belpre, for traveling 91 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Ms. Pinkerman on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Dunham Township.

On 7 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Doak stopped a vehicle driven by Edward R. Conley, age 40, 9408 NW 54th Street, Sunrise, FL, on State Route 821 after observing Mr. Conley driving erratically and forcing two oncoming vehicles to swerve off the road. Deputy Simmons arrived to assist in administering field sobriety tests which Mr. Conley completed with poor results. Prior to his arrest, Mr. Conley surrendered two marijuana pipes and a small quantity of marijuana he retrieved from his front shirt pocket. In consequence, Mr. Conley was arrested for OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving left of center and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Day investigated a report from the Comfort Inn that an individual not matching the proper description was attempting to rent a room using as check issued to Larry Stegner, age 58, 836 Pike Street Apt. 20, Marietta. Upon speaking with Mr. Stegner, Deputy Day learned his checkbook and identification were stolen over the past several days. This case remains open.

Billy D. Bell Jr., age 34, 1094 Camelot Avenue, Belpre, for issuing a bad check for $133.75 to Hilltop Auto on 22 Dec 05.

Timothy P. Charlton, age 24, 75 Rockport Road, Rockport, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $600.40.

Eldon L. Church, age 19, 3113 N. Creek Road, McConnelsville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $516.

Jeffrey M. Coe, age 23, 4417 17th Street NW, Canton, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $508.10.

William J. Dawson, age 22, 413 13th Street, Parkersburg, for failing to appear for pretrial on 30 Mar 06.

Lionel J. Gore, age 18, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for failing to appear for pretrial on 20 Mar 06.

Aaron A. Kiggans, age 22, 450 Wentz Road, Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 20 and on 30 Mar 06.

Leona D. Land, age 34, 740 Greene Street, Newport, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $144.10.

Carrie A. Martin, age 23, 7100 State Route 60, Lowell, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $505.50.

Jose Martinez, age 25, 9756 Alderman Road, Millfield, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $488.60.

Vicky L. Riddle, age 47, 3501 Roseland Avenue, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $395.00.

Mona L. Thomas, age 42, Route 1 Box 105K, Ravenswood, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $483.40.

Traylus B. White, age 42, 527 Mitchell Avenue Apt. 21, Beverly, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $493.80.

Mickoya D. Williams, age 27, 1840 Grantham Road, Cleveland, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $284.50.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Travis Creed Kraker, age 20, 1704 Rosewood Drive, Parkersburg, for possession of drugs, a felony. Kraker was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 12:35 am.

Adam Kristofer Hossman, age 27, 205 Burkhart Road, Lowell, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Hossman was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 1:10 am.

Derek Douglas Oldfield, age 20, 27400 State Route 7, Marietta, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of driving under an FRA suspended license. Oldfield was arrested on Greene Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 3:10 am.

Edward Ray Conley, age 40, 9408 NW 54th Street, Sunrise, FL, for OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Conley was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 11:15 am.

Derrik Ryan McGee, age 22, Caldwell, for burglary, a felony. McGee was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 11:15 am.

Jonas Wyatt Miller, age 23, 76 Hazelwood Road, Marietta, for burglary, two counts of breaking and entering, auto theft, safecracking, receiving stolen property and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, all felonies. Miller was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 11:15 am.

Michael Scott Ayers, age 22, 1402 Erie Street, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Ayers was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 11:30 am.

Charles Dana Hemingway, age 43, 408 Cross Road, Belpre, for domestic violence, a felony. Hemingway was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 1:30 pm.

Billy Joe Davis, age 20, 19 High Street, Vincent, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Davis was arrested near Bartlett Farmer’s Bank by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 2:35 pm.

Troy Eugene Lightfritz, age 19, 253 Millgate Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and failure to transfer plates, both misdemeanors. Lightfritz was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 5:10 pm.

Danny Lee Roland, age 46, State Route 33, Athens, for two felony counts of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of drugs. Roland was arrested on State Route 339 by Detective Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 6:00 pm.

John Derrick Cain, age 45, PO Box 43, Paden City, WV, for operating with an expired license and speeding, both misdemeanors. Cain was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 8:40 pm.

Mark Anthony Norman, age 19, 290 Oakwood Drive, McConnelsville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Norman was arrested on Interstate 77 by Detective Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 9:45 pm.

Evelyn Louise Castle, age 51, PO Box 908, Inez, KY, for a felony charge of tampering with drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs. Castle was arrested near milepost twenty-six on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 10:00 pm.

James Arthur Jude, age 44, PO Box 908, Inez, KY, for a felony charge of tampering with drugs and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and OVI. Jude was arrested near milepost twenty-six on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 06 at 10:00 pm.
