On 6 Apr 06 an employee of Affordable Auto Repair, 1094 Clement Avenue, Belpre, reported when he arrived for work that morning the doorknob was broken off the business’s main door. Upon further inspection the employee noticed a number of things missing, including: a Kobalt toolbox, shop lights, a Reddy heater, a Coleman gas tank, Craftsman hand tools, an angle grinder, a wire feed welder, a fuel pressure tester, a clothes dryer, floor jacks and two sixteen inch chrome rims. This case remains under investigation (597, 1299).

On 6 Apr 06 Darlene F. Arnold, age 42, 16715 State Route 676, Waterford, reported seeing two males on her mother in law’s neighboring property stealing metal pipes. Once confronted by Ms. Arnold and her son, the suspects, David T. Close, age 35, 407 Lord Street, Marietta, and Thurman L. Smith, age 36, 140 Franklin Street, Marietta, returned the sections of pipe to the owner’s property. Admitting to stealing the property, Mr. Close and Mr. Smith were each arrested, charged with theft and criminal trespassing and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 6 Apr 06 an eighteen year old Marietta resident reported, since beginning two days ago, a male subject continues to phone her home and make disturbing comments. This case remains under investigation (592, 1020).

Romen Zachary Vandall, age 22, 124 Knox Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Vandall was arrested in Vincent by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 3:25 am.

Lonnie Jay Vance, age 35, 108 ½ Sacra Via, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and a misdemeanor charge of telephone harassment. Vance was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 10:54 am.

Robert Eugene White II, age 51, 242 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 2, Marietta, for failure to appear and contempt of a court order, both felonies. White was arrested on Mount Tom Road by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 12:30 pm.

David Timothy Close, age 35, 104 Race Street, Marietta, for theft and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Close was arrested on State Route 676 by Major Winstanley of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 2:00 pm.

Thurman Lee Smith, age 36, 140 Franklin Street, Marietta, for theft and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on State Route 676 by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 2:24 pm.

Dustin Blake Lolley, age 20, 24965 State Route 7, Reno, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Lolley was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 2:30 pm.

Howard Neil Derenberger, age 27, 1435 Coal Run Road, Marietta, for littering, a misdemeanor. Derenberger was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 2:47 pm.

Kenneth Lee Barnhart, age 25, 110 ½ Grant Street, Marietta, for burglary, theft, safecracking, tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property and intimidation of a witness, all felonies. Barnhart was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 3:31 pm.

Carrie Ann Anderson, age 30, 1415 Lancaster Street Apt. 2C, Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Anderson was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Hall and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 4:06 pm.

Amber Loraine Sparks, age 25, 313 Franklin Street, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Sparks was arrested at Taco Bell in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 4:41 pm.

Lorena Ann Smith, age 28, 2409 Hanvey Avenue, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 6:03 pm.

Johnny Wayne Johnson, age 23, State Route 7, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested on State Route 7 by Major Winstanley of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 6:58 pm.

Carleton West Sparks Sr., age 46, 314 Harmar Street, Marietta, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Sparks was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 7:16 pm.

Cory Douglas Conner, age 22, 2881 Westland Road, Stockport, for speeding and operating without a license, both misdemeanors. Conner was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 8:15 pm.

Clint Houston Butler, age 36, 8620 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, for speeding and driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Butler was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 8:53 pm.

Angelique Mary Morgan, age 36, PO Box 355, Bluefield, WV, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Morgan was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 9:57 pm.

Jacob Michael Kabelen, age 19, 564 Glen Park Drive, Bay Village, OH, for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Kabelen was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 10:10 pm.

Jeremy Lee Taylor, age 25, 720 ½ Third Street, Marietta, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 11:09 pm.

David Charles Paul, age 28, 83 Lantern Street, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Paul was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 06 at 11:45 pm.
