On 4 Apr 06 an employee of Pure Water Company,
309 North Street, Caldwell, reported sometime over the past
month the magnetic display of a water meter at 441 Fourth Street,
Macksburg, was damaged. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 4 Apr 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Jane A. Osborne, age 34, 3435 Warren Chapel Road,
Marietta, for traveling 54 mph in a 20 mph school zone. Deputy
Mankins stopped Ms. Osborne on State Route 7 near Frontier
High School in Grandview Township.
On 4 Apr 06 Roger A. Eddy, age 56, 103 Howard
Street, Marietta, reported vandals broke into an oil well pump
house on his property at 400 Elk Run Road, forced open a valve
to an oil storage tank and drained ten to fifteen barrels of
oil. Charges are forthcoming for the twelve and fifteen year
old suspects, who also confessed they broke a sixteen foot
pipe connected to the storage tank (296).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael Terry Blumer, age 53, 942 Merton Avenue,
Akron, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Blumer was picked up at the Summit
County Jail by Captain Brum of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Apr
06 at 3:11 pm.
Shawn Eugene Leasure, age 28, 16725 Bronze Heights Apt. 14,
Caldwell, for two misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks.
Leasure was arrested in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Malone
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Apr 06 at
11:09 pm.
