On 1 Apr 05 Mark E. Shaffer, age 30, 1185 Browns Road, Marietta, reported when he arrived home from at 8:30 that evening his Honda 250RX three wheeler was missing from his front yard. Not seeing the humor in his friends’ April Fool’s Day joke, Mr. Shaffer called to inform Sgt. Hiatt his ATV magically reappeared.

On 1 Apr 06 the landlord of property at 1760 Creek Road, Stockport, reported when the former tenant left the property he allegedly removed the drywall and stole all of the electrical wiring. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kenneth Allen Newbanks, age 27, 526 Third Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Newbanks was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Smeeks of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 06 at 1:28 am.

Ladislao Del Valle Saenz, age 23, 370 Rockwall Lane, Tilly, AR, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Saenz was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 06 at 3:48 am.
