On 25 Mar 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins investigated
a domestic violence report at the residence of John E. Clark,
age 47, 587 Coffman Road, Marietta. After placing a cellular
phone call that angered his son in law, Mr. Clark stated Jason
L. Mugrage, age 24, 1044 Murdoch Avenue Apt. 5, Parkersburg,
appeared at his home wielding a baseball bat. Mr. Clark answered
a knock at his screen door, at which time Mr. Mugrage swung
the bat at the door and dented the frame. Mr. Mugrage left
the scene prior to Deputy Mankins’ arrival but when contacted
by phone Mr. Mugrage arranged his surrender and confessed striking
the door because he was angry with the way his mother was being
treated. Because Mr. Clark was in fear for his safety Deputy
Mankins arrested Mr. Mugrage for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 25 Mar 06 Craig Nichols, age 51, 325 South
Seventh Street, Marietta, reported sometime since 4 Mar 06
an unknown suspect(s) set fire to a brush barricade he erected
at his trailer park at 2800 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre.
This case remains under investigation (296).
On 25 Mar 06 James Cline, age 59, 720 Cornerville
Road, Marietta, reported stolen, his twenty gauge Mossberg
shotgun, after Kenneth Chidester, age 58, 470 Cornerville Road,
Marietta, refused to return the borrowed weapon on six occasions.
As a result, Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons for
Mr. Chidester for theft.
On 25 Mar 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Katherine R. Radabaugh,
age 22, 2316 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, because she did not
have an operational license plate light. Ms. Radabaugh admitted
consuming two or three beers when Deputy Evans questioned her
regarding her odor of alcohol. Following Ms. Radabaugh’s
poor performance on field sobriety tests Deputy Evans arrested
her for OVI and transported her from Whipple Eight Road to
the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher William Sweet, age 18, Lake Washington Drive,
Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Sweet was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 12:38 am.
Teresa Lynn Starcher, age 38, 1001 Bear Run Road, Reno, for
OVI, driving under a suspended license and failure to control,
all misdemeanors. Starcher was arrested on County Road 42 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 12:57 am.
Joseph Kai Tabler, age 19, 1830 Adams Lane Apt. 25, Zanesville,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Tabler
was arrested on State Route 550 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 1:34 am.
Katherine Ruth Radabaugh, age 22, 2316 Highland Ridge Road,
Lowell, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Radabaugh was arrested in Whipple
by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 1:59 am.
Jason Louis Mugrage, age 24, 1044 Murdoch Avenue Apt. 5, Parkersburg,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mugrage turned himself
in to Deputy Sheriff Mankins and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 2:25 pm.
Joshua Allen Danku, age 24, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Arbaugh
was arrested on Virginia Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 6:25 pm.
Nathan Scott Heater, age 28, 114 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Heater was arrested at his residence by Patrolman
Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Mar 06 at 11:30 pm.
