On 9 Mar 06 an employee of the Misty Blue,
1755 State Route 821, Marietta, reported an intoxicated individual
left the bar around 5 pm after drinking Busch Light and peppermint
schnapps since 11:30 that morning. During that time, the individual,
Steven T. Hupp, age 35, 108 Seneca Drive, Marietta, bragged
he was just released from jail and threatened to beat up other
patrons. Deputy Sheriff Stackpole located Mr. Hupp near Ewing
School, arrested him for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 9 Mar 06 Lt. Wilson stopped a vehicle on
US 50 near State Route 124 for operating without a license
plate. Once Deputy Sheriff Stackpole arrived and his canine
indicated the presence of drugs, Lt. Wilson searched the vehicle
and recovered a leather purse containing prescription pills,
marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Leroy J. Clark, age 30, 628
Phillips Street, Marietta, a passenger in the vehicle, confessed
to owning the items in the purse and was arrested for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John David O’Brien Jr., age 23, 96 Main Street, Lower
Salem, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
O’Brien was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 9 Mar 06 at 2:15 am.
Derek Michael Fortney, age 23, Marietta, for OVI, driving
under a suspended license, driving outside the marked lanes
of travel and failure to comply with the order/signal of an
officer, all misdemeanors. Fortney was arrested on Putnam Street
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 9 Mar 06 at 3:30 am.
Melissa Diane Kirkpatrick, age 35, 720 Main
Street, Belpre, for forgery and using deception to obtain a
dangerous drug, both misdemeanors. Kirkpatrick was arrested
at K-Mart by Detective Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar
06 at 10:30 am.
Michael Anthony Trent, age 36, 140 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Trent was arrested at his residence by
Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 06 at
2:20 pm.
Rashawna Renee Zachery, age 19, 2040 Hegemon Crest Drive,
Columbus, for possession of drugs and breach of recognizance,
both felonies. Zachery was picked up in Columbus by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Mar 06 at 5:35 pm.
Leroy Junior Clark, age 30, 628 Phillips Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, possession of drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Clark
was arrested on State Route 339 near US 50 by Lt. Wilson of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 06 at 6:57 pm.
Steven Thomas Hupp, age 35, 108 Seneca Drive, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hupp was
arrested near Ewing School by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 06 at 7:30 pm.
