On 8 Mar 06 Shelly Blind, age 46, 1221 Sealy
Ridge Road, Vincent, reported the father of her daughter’s
children, Timothy Mackey, age 25, 1247 Sealy Ridge Road, entered
her property attempting to speak with his former girlfriend
and refused her requests to leave. Also failing to abide Lt.
Wilson’s order to vacate the premises, Mr. Mackey was
arrested for trespassing and transported to the Washington
County Jail.
On 8 Mar 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole responded
to a report of a disturbance at 10595 State Route 555, Cutler.
Upon arrival Deputy Stackpole observed Steven N. Smith, age
54, Hanover Street, Cutler, searching for his keys inside a
vehicle. Mr. Smith appeared heavily inebriated and reportedly
had been honking the car’s horn and slamming the doors.
Due to Mr. Smith’s behavior, Deputy Stackpole arrested
him for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 8 Mar 06 Barbara Eddy, age 82, 5277 Schoolhouse
Road, Little Hocking, called to report she believed she was
a victim of a scam. Ms. Eddy stated an individual came to her
door claiming he could reseal her driveway with materiel he
had left over from another job, for $10 a bucket. After claiming
he completed the work the suspect, Terry W. Gilley Jr., age
20, 911 Hickory Street, Princeton, WV, billed Ms. Eddy $1,400
for his services. Feeling uneasy after issuing the check to
Mr. Gilley, Ms. Eddy phoned her bank to stop payment but the
check was already cashed. Deputy Sheriff Stackpole confirmed
the identity of Mr. Gilley cashing the check at the bank and
requested a warrant for his arrest for felony theft for defrauding
an elderly or disabled person.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Terry Lee Hupp, age 52, 11155 Highland Ridge Road, Macksburg,
for .08 breath OVI, speeding and for failing to reinstate his
operator’s license, all misdemeanors. Hupp was arrested
on Gilman Avenue by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 1:20 am.
Gary Wayne Schnitz, age 48, 23749 Brimstone Road, Coolville,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Schnitz was arrested on US 50 by Patrolman
Smeeks of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 2:00 am.
Benjamin David Sewell, age 33, 475 Reed Road,
Marietta, for rape, a felony. Sewell was arrested at Lowe’s
in Marietta by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 3:07 pm.
Sheldon Dwight Hill, age 23, 11776 State Route 555, Cutler,
for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Hill was arrested
at his residence by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 3:48 pm.
Timothy Scott Mackey, age 25, 1247 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent,
for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Mackey was arrested
on Sealy Ridge Road by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 9:27 pm.
Steven Neil Smith, age 54, 83 Hanover Street, Cutler, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Smith was
arrested on State Route 555 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 06 at 10:34
pm.
