On 6 Mar 06 Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll stopped
a vehicle on Third Street in Marietta for not having visible
license plates. A check of the driver, Andrew B. Tucker, age
22, 117 Willowbrook Drive Apt. 1, Parkersburg, concluded Mr.
Tucker’s license was suspended for failure to pay child
support. Issued a citation for operating with license plates,
Mr. Tucker was arrested for driving under a suspended license
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 6 Mar 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched
to the scene of the death of a fifty-three year old Marietta
resident. The man’s death appears to be natural; no foul
play is suspected.
On 6 Mar 06 Russell G. Britton, age 82, 225
Silver Globe Road, Marietta, reported finding several tires
and gas tanks disposed of along Silver Globe Road near mile
marker .44. This case remains under investigation (695).
On 6 Mar 06 Doug Addis, age 27, 111 Holiday
Drive, Marietta, reported after closing his garage door the
previous evening he awoke that morning to find the garage door
open and a black mechanic’s glove on the seat of his
wife’s car. This case remains under investigation (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Benjamin Reed Coffman, age 29, Center Street,
Waterford, for trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs,
both felonies. Coffman was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff Willson and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 06 at 10:10 am.
Robert Matthews Parrish, age 29, Caldwell,
for burglary, a felony. Parrish was picked up at the Noble
Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Willson and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 06 at 10:10 am.
Andrew Bryant Tucker, age 22, 117 Willowbrook
Drive Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for driving under an FRA suspended
license and for operating without vehicle registration, both
misdemeanors. Tucker was arrested on Third Street in Marietta
by Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Mar 06 at 3:25 pm.
Jodi Lynn Schofield, age 24, 1224 Drag Strip
Road, Belpre, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Schofield was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 06 at 6:45 pm.
