On 3 Mar 06 Julie L. Coe, age 46, 1110 Moody
Ridge Road, Vincent, was stopped by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
on State Route 339 after observing her traveling 68 mph in
a 55 mph zone. In speaking to Ms. Coe, Deputy Mankins noticed
her bloodshot eyes, an odor of alcohol and that she slurred
her words as she spoke. Once she performed poorly on field
sobriety tests, Deputy Mankins attempted to arrest Ms. Coe,
an action she obstinately opposed. Ms. Coe continued to resist
until Lt. Wilson arrived as backup and deployed his Taser,
causing Ms. Coe to finally acquiesce. Charged with speeding,
OVI and resisting arrest, Ms. Coe was then transported to the
Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shannon Finn Lannigan, age 34, 103 Shady Lane,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, OVI, for
not wearing a seat belt, for having fictitious plates and for
being a repeat traffic offender. Lannigan was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 06 at 3:20 am.
Gregory Allen Cook, age 42, 465 Buckeye Ridge
Road, Chesterhill, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Cook was picked up
at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Doak
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 06 at
11:20 am.
Martin Lendell McClain, age 45, 927 Byron Street, Weirton,
WV, for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of his
probation. McClain was picked up at the Regional Jail in Moundsville
by Deputy Sheriff Willson and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Mar 06 at 1:40 pm.
Jeffrey Pete Lemay, age 21, 31978 Goose Creek Road, McArthur,
OH, for burglary, a felony. Lemay was arrested in Belpre by
Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 06 at 8:00
pm.
William Joseph Beaver, age 52, 712 Front Street, New Matamoras,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at
his residence by Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
3 Mar 06 at 9:15 pm.
