On 28 Feb 06 a fifteen year old Warren High School student reported as he walked home from school along Warrior Drive another student swerved his truck in his direction, nearly striking him. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 28 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Tornes requested a summons for Bill D. Bell Jr., age 34, 1094 Clement Avenue, Belpre, for passing a bad check. The summons alleges Mr. Bell issued a $133.75 check to Hilltop Auto Wrecking on 22 Dec 05 using an account he closed three days prior.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mitchell Lee Greenwood, age 20, 35 Heater Road, Newport, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Greenwood was arrested in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 06 at 12:35 am.

Leslie Michael Ayers Jr., age 31, Whipple, for being a repeat traffic offender and for having fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Ayers was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 06 at 6:11 am.

Roy Allen Miller, age 23, 100 Chester Lane, Gambier, OH, for speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 06 at 7:49 pm.
