On 27 Feb 06 Cynthia J. Wolfe, age 44, 2384
Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, reported her 1988 Buick Lesabre
was stolen from outside her former residence on Jones Road
in Waterford. Ms. Wolfe claims her former landlord granted
her permission to leave the nonfunctional vehicle at the residence
and that she last saw the Buick in September of 2004. This
case remains under investigation (1203).
On 27 Feb 06 Sgt. Hiatt responded to a report
of an intoxicated male threatening to harm himself. The father
of Dennis E. Herndon III, age 19, 1220 Branch Road, Lowell,
informed Sgt. Hiatt he and his son engaged in argument over
his drinking when his son broke a window of the trailer in
which they were arguing. Mr. Herndon grabbed a shard of glass
and held it to his wrist, threatening to cut himself. Tempers
subsided, however due to Mr. Herndon’s actions Sgt. Hiatt
arrested him for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Spencer observed
the driver of a Ford truck traveling on State Route 7 swerving
in his lane of travel and spin his tires as he turned onto
Dana Road in Newport. Conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Spencer
made contact with the driver, Mitchell L. Greenwood, age 20,
35 Heater Road, Newport. Once he noticed an odor of alcohol
on Mr. Greenwood, Deputy Spencer administered field sobriety
tests with poor results. In consequence, Deputy Spencer arrested
Mr. Greenwood for OVI and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Justin M. Harris, age 21, Lane Farm Road,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license
or to appear to serve three days in jail.
Samantha C. Lemon, age 24, 5109 State Route 555, Little Hocking,
for violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear
for a scheduled appointment and for failing to complete a driver’s
intervention program as ordered by the court.
Michael L. Runnion, age 36, PO Box 531, Ravenswood, WV, for
failing to appear in sober condition for a driver’s intervention
program.
Thomas S. Rutter, age 43, 322 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show
proof of making $350 restitution as ordered by the court.
Misty Y. Valentine, age 27, 306 Harmar Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of her probation by failing to show proof
of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to appear
to serve three days in jail.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Eugene Deford, age 34, 808 Front Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Deford turned himself at the Courthouse to Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Feb
06 at 11:00 am.
Ralph Francis Kemper, age 35, 4550 State Route 555, Little
Hocking, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Kemper
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Feb 06 at 7:01
pm.
Thomas Stewart Rutter, age 43, 322 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Rutter
was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Feb 06 at 7:35 pm.
Dennis Eugene Herndon III, age 19, 1220 Branch Road, Lowell,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Herndon
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Feb 06 at 11:05 pm.
