On 26 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Malone began an
investigation into the theft of a brown 1987 Chevy Astrovan
from the residence of Kathy Haught, age 46, at 555 Dodd Run
Road, Marietta. Ms. Haught’s daughter, who is caring
for her mother’s dog while she is out of town, stated
the keys were in the unlocked van and that the van was stolen
at some point since her visit to the home at 5 pm the previous
evening.
On 26 Feb 06 David B. Hopp Jr., age 33, 5720
Buchanan Road, Waterford, reported the left front tire of his
Pontiac Bonneville was punctured. Mr. Hopp stated a friend
who is contemplating purchasing the vehicle was attending a
party in Waterford when the transgression took place. Through
an investigation, Deputy Sheriff Hall determined that Justin
M. Cline, age 19, 610 Main Street, Waterford, retaliated against
the driver of the vehicle for a previous confrontation by slashing
the tire with a carpenter’s knife he borrowed from a
friend. As a result, Deputy Hall requested a summons for Mr.
Cline for criminal damaging.
On 26 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation to Brandi L. Walsh, age 20, 1787 State Route 266,
Stockport, for diving with expired registration. Deputy Rhodes
stopped Ms. Walsh on State Route 60 at Babcock Road in Waterford
Township.
On 26 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans conducted
a traffic stop on Chamberlain Drive after witnessing a vehicle
swerve and correct itself sharply when turning from State Route
60. Despite the claim of the driver, Jamie L. Bingler, age
36, 207 Clark Drive, Marietta, that she only consumed a few
alcoholic beverages, she performed poorly on field sobriety
tests. As a result, Deputy Evans arrested Ms. Bingler for OVI
and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Eldon Lavern Church, age 19, 3113 Creek Road,
McConnelsville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Church was picked up at the
Morgan County line by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26
Feb 06 at 9:54 am.
