On 21 Feb 06 a twenty year old Newport resident
reported receiving approximately three hundred harassing phone
calls from her ex-boyfriend. Unable to immediately locate the
suspect, Sgt. Hiatt requested a warrant for Corey J. Hartline,
age 22, 305 Burt Street, Sistersville, WV, for telephone harassment.
On 21 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Christopher N. Mayle,
age 26, 11722 State Route 555, Cutler, on Patten Mills Road
after observing Mr. Mayle’s vehicle travel left of the
centerline. Asked why he exited his vehicle and began walking
away, Mr. Mayle replied he was nervous because he had marijuana
seeds in his pocket. As a result, Deputy Evans issued Mr. Mayle
citations for driving left of center and possession of marijuana.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Chad Joseph McCarty, age 22, 483 Richland Avenue, Athens,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. McCarty was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 21 Feb 06 at 4:10 am.
Matthew Brandon Perez, age 20, 1548 Kew Road, Cleveland, for
possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Perez was
arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 06 at 4:10 am.
Anthony Joseph Colon, age 23, 3990 58th Street, Cleveland,
for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for
speeding, both misdemeanors. Colon was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 06 at 10:17 am.
Jeffrey William Welsch, age 20, 607 Elm Street, Belpre, for
violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Welsch was
picked up at SEPTA by Probation Officer Smith and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 06 at 4:18 pm.
