On 19 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Parks conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Christopher E. Brooker,
age 19, 45830 State Route 7, New Matamoras, for speeding. Initially
Mr. Brooker accelerated away but then pulled into his driveway
and exited his vehicle. Deputy Parks then observed Mr. Brooker
throw two items under his vehicle, which Mr. Brooker later
admitted were a bag of marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Mr.
Brooker stated he drank alcohol and smoked marijuana the night
before and was returning home after passing out. Suspecting
Mr. Brooker was under the influence of drugs, Deputy Parks
arrested him for OVI as well as possession of drugs and drug
paraphernalia and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 19 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans stopped
a vehicle on Muskingum Drive after observing the vehicle travel
left of center on two occasions. Noting an odor of alcohol
on the driver, Shaun P. Parmiter, age 40, 460 Muskingum Drive,
Marietta, Deputy Evans administered field sobriety tests. Coupled
with the quantity of marijuana found in his pocket, Mr. Parmiter
was arrested for possession of drugs and OVI and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jesse Brian Harris, age 19, 303 Third Street, Beverly, for
driving under a suspended license, reckless operation and for
failure to obey a traffic control device, all misdemeanors.
Harris was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Evans and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Feb 06 at 1:29
am.
Shaun Patrick Parmiter, age 40, 460 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for .08 breath OVI and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.
Parmiter was arrested on Muskingum Drive by Deputy Sheriff
Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Feb
06 at 3:09 am.
Brandie Ann Smearman, age 23, 613 Eighth Street Apt. D, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Smearman was arrested
on Washington Street in Marietta by Detective Warden of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 19 Feb 06 at 8:45 am.
Bradley Douglas Henthorne, age 21, 161 Turner Road, Belpre,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Henthorne was arrested at the Sheriff’s
Office by Sgt. Hiatt and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Feb 06 at 11:00 am.

possession of drugs, all misdemeanors. Brooker was arrested
on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 19 Feb 06 at 3:09 am.
Donald Eugene Bartimus, age 25, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Little
Hocking, for as felony charge of violating the terms of his
probation and misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended
license and possession of drugs. Bartimus was arrested on Veto
Road by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Feb 06 at 8:13 pm.
